It'll actually be a X8M.

A 6-door Gran Coupe SAV with a V8 TT and 600 hp and 22 feet long.

Because, c'mon, that's all that BMW is missing.

Will they actually show the X7, or just announce the plan of building it?

X7 with a roof box, not for the claustrophobic.

Along with that, they'll announce plans to begin producing full frame, full sized pickup trucks for the US market. Also, plans to develop 'ActiveMotorhomes', and scooters. At BMW, we can leave no segment unexplored. Purity and pedigree be damned; we MUST stay number one at all costs.

Roller skates and 'wheelie' shoes coming in 2016.

Will be surprising to see X7 announcement today with not a single leak anywhere on the web unless they don't actually show us the car? Seems like every announcement these days has leaks at least a week before

Doubt they show the X7 at all today. Probably just announce that it'll be built at Spartanburg is all.

We look forward to the press conference .

Dr. Norbert Reithofer :

Ladies and gentlemen.

It is a great honor for me to announce the reversal of the Spartanburg plant, for the production of a new sports utility vehicle called X7.

This represents a major commitment to BMW for the North American market.
Thank you and good afternoon.

Surprise twist: the factory expansion is in fact solely for making more ///M badges to put on all new BMWs
