Icheb means your opening post was too stream-of-consciousness: while useful for formulating ideas, it is certainly unusual for forming cohesive statements.

I do not think it was about extending the amount of reading, however annoying it may have been.

at least you get paid for it, in many countries you gatta go to army for 2-3 years for free.... but i agree with you, when you save up for something for a long time working hard and then you finally get it, people don't see what kinda hard work you did, they all automatically assume you're loaded and money grows on trees.... just don't pay attention to them, why get angry/mad for nothing ? you won't change their view/perspective on things so why bother ? just smile at them and know deep down inside that you worked hard for the money and that's all it metters

All that horrendous grammar and punctuation can give someone an aneurysm. I hope you don't drive like you post; you come across like you're on drugs.

I direct commissioned specifically for my specialty as a reservist. Luckily my civilian job pays me well. In addition this car is a special treat for me and has required a lot of saving up! This is definitely not some whimsical purchase. Good luck on acquiring the car of your dreams! I'm sure if you work at it, you can have whatever you want.

I’m in the Army I don’t have an M6 but I have my 335 and I’m happy with it.
I bought it with the money earn fighting in Iraq not like some people that thinks because they graduated high school daddy has to buy them one. I may not get rich in the Army but I get a decent pay and I like what I do.

I understand where you are coming from, but people don't get it. I've always had a way to make extra $ ;+).

Bottom line, my ACUs look damn good in my 335.

To all you serving the country, THANKS!!!!! I would gladly kick in a few extra $20s if I thought the taxes made it eventually to your armour and your pocketbooks. Top 3 on my list needing additoinal funding are schools, military, and healthcare. The rest is just BS that needs to come after the above are FULLY funded.

A Warrant Officer I know drives an E60 M5, so trust me, the money is not that bad. I'm sure I bank more than 80% of the people in this forum, doing what I love. How bout that?
+1 on that one.

In addition, for those on front-line positions in the US Army, they are putting their lives on the line and that is in and of itself priceless.

next time someone comes to you with that kind of shit just say: right. we all then shall resign, and leave the airspace and borders to your country open to anyone who feels like walking in.

now. i swear to you, i mean ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENCE! but come on. america spends the most on defense. where were you guys on 9/11? whats your take on that? do you beleive that it was a government set up? i find it hard to beleive that it was an all out terrorist job. come on. not even ONE jet could have been re-routed? meh. im skeptical about it.

anyways. dont let it happen again. lol.

keep doing what you do, your country needs you. and the lives of so many ungrateful bastards who treat you like trash. just say "fuck em" and enjoy the ride in ur bmw

Being able to afford BMW payments? Big whoop. Anyone who’s been in the military knows this - they feed you, put a roof over your head, cloth you and give you all the medical you need. Unless you’ve gone and tapped yourself out financing everything in sight and/or buried yourself in check advances you pretty much have that paycheck all to yourself. Now the question is what are you going to do with it? You can put some away to maybe buy a house when you get out, put it towards an education, or you can blow it on a car. Truth is you don’t make that much, and unless you’re saving something now that housing and food goes bye-bye once you’re out. Either way it’s your life. Make what you want of it, but those of us that have been around the block can see all the self conscious doubt infecting your posts.

I try to get them thinking of life after the military because I would say 70% of my guys say they want to get out. About 1/4 of them do have college degrees though, so they are not too far behind their peers but I have a few guys who fit your stereotype where all they do is blow their money away on alcohol. The military matures a person much quicker and while I see the truth in your post, it really only applies to a few. Probably less than the percentage of college dropouts. I think your post would be more appropriate if it was aimed at the <30 yr olds in this forum in general.
I have been in that long, and I have had to write things(I'm pretty good at it too). I have also been blousing my pants for ten years and shining the fuck outta my boots. That does not mean I do it when I go home. Its a firiggin forum!! I choose to just type and not worry about what my high school enlish teacher might think, MY BAD!! Just thought some other people might have had the same experiences as I have. To all of you that I have offended with my horrendous use of the english language........... i will try to do gooder next time! To all of you who have looked past my aforementioned atrocities, and added something Thank You! Now, I know some have done both. Thank You too!!

our borders are protected/controlled by the border patrol, not military.

Anyway, as someone mentioned, you guys do work for a big government owned "corporation" and get paid that way. Some of you have only HS degree and make less, some of you are lower rank and make less...just like in any other corporation.

You chose to go that way, rest of us went other way. What you do with your money is your thing...

HaHa!! You might have a point there. I can see how that could sound rude. I in no way mean your mothers house sir. (just the way you said that i am still laughing) lets just say that's what i call my humble abode. When my phone links up with my car it reads "your moms phone". I'm just weird like that. Now that i think of it my laptop's name is "your moms computer" ...... and so on

Thats changed a bit, they still been putting national guard on the mexican border. Buddy of mine had some gooood stories about that.

I'll admit it, part of me is not the military type. You look at me, hear me speak, you can tell. But my expensive taste, background, hobbies, just doesn't make sense. But thats what I love about me. I love throwing people off guard. If I get out I'll do another exciting weird job with guns! Hehe
