Alternative to EBII Trim??

Hey guys - I believe i originally ordered my car with only black trim for the MSPORT since I went with BSM and the blue would seem totally out of place in my opinion.

I'm about to pick up on the 25th and it looks like the bmwusa config specs show that it has EBII trim now...did i miss something?

do all msports have to have ebii trim??

I just checked the configurator on the BMW SA website, and it allows you to get either the blue accent trim, black high-gloss trim or pearl chrome highlight trim.

So, you can get the following on the msport in these configurations only:

Fine-wood Trim Burled Walnut with the pearl chrome trim

Aluminium Hexagon with blue accent line or black high gloss trim

Aluminium finely brushed lengthwise with black high gloss trim

Right that's what I thought too and apologies for not including that in my OP - I check there as well. Looks like my CA messed up the order.......I have the original spec sheet we agreed on too and it's just listing black.

I assume I can use this as leverage right? I'm really not a fan of EBII trim on a BSM car but I could live I guess, but I'd like to have some compensation since I custom ordered for a reason..what do you think is reasonable to ask for? I'm obviously not rebuilding the car because of it..

If you have black trim listed on your original spec sheet then you should expect nothing less than that on your car, especially since your CA messed up the order. If it's going to be a long process to have it replaced and you're not prepared to wait, you should demand some form of compensation....You can pull the whole incompetence card if your CA gives you problemsb (which they should not!) and I'm sure they'll cave lol..

For your sake, I hope that the car turns up with the black trim!

The trim kits are easy to swap out. I swapped in Hex over black in place of the wood trim. I am sure they can do the same for you to make the situation right.

Just an update to keep Adrian's reputation intact - he assured me it won't be blue no matter what bmws website says. Good enough for me. Even if he has to swap it out.
