Dude, if doesn't work get a hold of BMS and explain your situation. They maybe able to switch it out brotha. Worth giving a shot, if you ask me.

I don't think this is an issue of working or not as clearly there is a good gain, its just the OP was expecting more. Unfortunately dyno'ing is an art so sometimes it just doesn't come together for many reasons.

OP; Do you have a USB Cable?

Mike

Yes sir, i got the USB cable because i was sure that i am not getting much gain. i tried to switch between map 0 and map 1 so maybe i can feel the difference but i got nothing.
Than i did the Dyno to be sure and there are the results.

if the guy doing the dyno is not good at it he would get bad number for stock and map 1 which means the gain would still be high.

What should the boost readings peak at when data logging? Also, just need to data log from neutral right? Or does boost change as you move to higher gears?

The best datalog is a third gear pull from about 2000 to 6000RPM.

I think the message I got is they will not know much from the dyno and more from you logging a 3rd gear pull from low RPM to 6k.

Do you have an N26 or N20? From the looks of it, the N26 should show a bigger gain, atleast from the other dyno charts in the forum.

Actually, on that note, has anyone else done a dyno of the BMS stage 1 that isn't a reseller? I mean BMS quotes 30hp but that could just be marketing. And the N26 dyno was done by a the N54tuning guys.

I think it was European Car Magazine that dyno'd the setup along with an intake.

a solid 18 HP gain!!!!

18 HP increase is amazing, dont get me wrong but the gain in Mike's posted dyno results was 31 WHP, why is my gain almost 50% ?
Hey my man, an 18hp increase on a stage 1 is amazing! And personally i am totally happy with that! Yet, you got your car tested with a good dyno and used 91 fuel, which is more practical. Now i'm sure with stage 2 coming out soon your baby will be flying for sure. Thanks for the results man. Now we know what we are really dealing with as far as the stage 1... Yet, seems to be thats the only mod you have on your car as well. So that thats a great improvement from one tune!! Which i will be doing the same, only having the tune in the car.

As far as the first part of the installation, did you connect the first cable they tell you to connect? If so, you have an N20 engine. If you left the first part disconnected, you have an N26.

Yea, also if you have an 8AT in California, you're an N26 for sure, any 6MT is an N20

Mike, if thats the case, what fuel did they use? Did they have more mods on the car? How did they get their results with higher gains?

Do you know what they did exactly? Btw thanks soo much for the help mike! Really means a lot to all of us that you put your time to help us all man.

Dont get me wrong im more than happy with the 18HP gain. I was only checking because they have 33 HP gain on their car which they said is a N26 automatic 328 stock (exactly what i have ). I was hoping to get a fix from BMS for my car so i can get the 33HP gain they posted or at least get a confirmation from them that the numbers they posted were for advertisement and the actual gain will be 18HP.

i did not connect the first cable so i guess i have an N26.

Then you forsure have an n26... But as far as the the hp increase, i was wondering the same thing and asked mike about it and im hoping he can fill us in what did they differently. Personally, i think they used a higher grade fuel and probably had a more mods on it. I am not a 100% sure! I hope we are both wrong bro and hopefully you can figure out whats going on with your tune.

It actually says on the dyno results that the for 33HP increase the fuel used was 91 and the car was stock.
And all i got from the BMS guys is that the guy doing the dyno wasnt good and/or different dynos give different results.
But that does not make any sense because it is the same guy on the same dyno that did the stock one and the stage 1 for me. So although he might get different numbers than BMS dyno, the gain should be around the same ( im talking about the difference between stock and stage 1 for me).
Still waiting for Mike's feedback.
