My fiance and I went to the Chicago Auto show today. I must say Chicago has had better shows in the past. The 2013 is a bit dull and boring IMO.


Im not gonna blow up your computers with all the pics so Ill just toss up a few up here mostly BMW's but Ill throw up a few others I liked as well.

Ill post up a few Fords as well, after all thats the money maker, the bread winner for me .

I did not see the 4 series concept, but I am going there again next week, taking my nephew Ill keep an eye out for it.

The biggest disappointment was the Corvette stingray. I think its just overdone and looks like a camaro from the back. Not for me

I have a lot more photos but Im not going to put up 100's of pics of crowded nonsense.

Also to add all of you guys that have Estoril blue, I just want to say what an amazing color!!! IT looks so damn good in person I couldnt stop admiring it. I want this to be my next color for sure. I think it even looks better then the Monte Carlo blue.

I also really want the Focus ST or Fiesta ST for my next DD. 70 mile roundtrip commute everyday sucks. Need something cheap, fun and great on gas.

Yeah I have a couple of frends here at work with the focus st and they are awsome to drive they said. That trick torsen diff works very well. Id love to pick this car up asap for my daily.

The BMW 4er concept is back home in Germany.
BMW needed the car to showcase it for the Berlinale Film Festival where the car was used as a VIP shuttle and gain more exposure.

The final autoshow appearance is @ Geneva where the car will be displayed for European audiences. And then it is only a matter of weeks until the production car is unveiled prior to the intended world premiere at the Shanghai Auto show in China.

dd1981 agree with your comment about the Chicago Auto Show, we went Saturday and over all it was a major disappointment...most annoying the BMW reps having little or no knowledge about the cars on display. Thanks for posting the photos.

Exactly how it was at the LA Autoshow. Biggest highlight was that I saw Mel Gibson walking in as I was leaving. He looked angry.

Ah well that explains it. Thanks for the clarification. I was very disappointed as this was a car I was really looking forward to seeing. Along with the new Cayman (was not disappointed at all).

Oh you couldn't have said it better! My fiancé even corrected one of them about a small fact. Lets just say even my fiancé knows these cars don't come with a v6! Lol it was comical.

And we took a questionnaire for Audi (got a neat little screen cleaner) but when I mentioned to him about VW AG owning Audi his words "wait VW owns Audi"? I was like omg you're a product specialist....NEXT

Never been to the LA show but it had to have been better just on account of seeing a celebrity.

I remember Chicago auto shows just being full of excitement especially opening day. Couple years back Ford had a Boss 302 strapped to a dyno and picked out a lucky (willing) person from the crowd to sit passenger while they did a pull! Where has all this gone?

Thank goodness I never pay and always get free tickets from work

Here are a few moe I left out and got a chance to get closer on Wednesday since it was less crowded.

I love the Volvo s60 Polestar I was very attracted to this car and I would have to say it may have been my next car but....they only make them special order and rumor has it since its a "special order" its around 200k yikes

But the Product specialist was nice enough to tell me if I wanted an s60 R-design I can get one of those and polestar would tune it for me to 350hp (no manual option). Yeah I was like no thanks 50k Ill stick with my 335i
