Before buying one go to your local bmw and check it out first. It makes the key huge I returned mine the next day.

Ordered my FOB case on eBay for $24 shipped to the US, it came shrink wrapped in a BMW accessory box.

It's fine for women if they can throw it into their purse, but it's absurdly huge to put into pants or blazer pockets. Secondly, the key flips out on its own, so if you drop the whole thing, you could still damage the key.
I do not recommend this case.

I really miss the old BMW keys (ca. MY2000-ish) that charged automatically, were smaller, and actually came with a nice fitted, closable case. Then again, comfort access/keyless start on these new keys is amazing. You win some, you lose some...

See my pictures, which don't even do the behemoth justice.

I love mine, got a red one for the wife and I keep the black one...
It does flip open, but it fits fine in my pocket (maybe I have larger pockets?) I routinely keep in my bag though, which is why I got it...with CA, I hardly carry my keys in my pocket now (during the winters).

+1 - I have the same red sportline case and its really too big for a pant or blazer pocket. (even though I do it anyway)

I guess I'll go see how the one at the dealer fits in pocket before ordering the m-sport one thanks for the feedback and the link for the <$50 one

thanks for the comparison pics with the case on. I was going to get one but the size and $50 is quite ridiculous.

I also have the red key case and always carry it in my pocket. I must admit it is PITA but it does protect the key from touching the buttons accidentally and opening the trunk or setting off the alarm etc. IMO make a smaller fob. Good luck
cheers

Wow, the ECS case was $24 when I bought mine in November. I guess they finally figured out they were way below the market...
