Is it possible to shuffle USB tracks?
I have a 32GB mini USB stick in the armrest with a ton of tracks and would really like to just say "shuffle all". Doesn't seem possible though. Only shuffle option seems to be for the CD player.
Anyone find anything different?

yep...seemingly no effect with the USB stick. I wonder if I dump them all into a play list the random check box will work...

I use random mode on a 32GB memory stick all the time; works great. The car also remembers random mode for USB sticks (on so for the HDD based Music
).I have all of the music in one directory in the root of the USB stick. I have not tried playing random mode on a stick with a bunch of folders on it. |

Interesting. Maybe the Folders throws it off. I was expecting, at the very least, to be able to shuffle within a folder.
As I have it now, it's set up like: /Music/Band/Album/Song Are you just selecting the "Random" checkbox in the options?

Yes. Options -> Random.
Note that if you change the song being played via the iDrive knob or the steering wheel track wheel, you will turn off random mode. The ONLY way to play the next random track is to push the right arrow button on the right side of 1-8 buttons. |

It's working. Had to view all tracks, hit play, turn on random.
It looks like you can skip tracks with iDrive. When you hover over next track, instead of displaying next song, it displays "random". Love it

I'm having problems with this. I have a large music collection on a usb drive. It's all in various folders organized by album. I had iDrive all set so that it would randomize the whole shebang, and it has worked great for a couple months now. But driving home today, it got stuck playing songs only from one folder. This had a checkbox on it. I'm now able to get it to start random play from another folder, but I can't figure out how get it to randomize the entire drive.
