Ugly as sin. Especially that front end looks like fat kid on roller skates and a mouth full of candy.

Thanks for the comparo pics Jason. Surprisingly there are similarities, especially in the hood sculpting, the leading edge of the c-pillar and the accent at the bottom of the doors. They are all more pronounced on the Infiniti which is typical as Japanese buyers tend towards more surface excitement. I'd like to see the Infiniti in person but I don't think I will get to the NAIAS this year.

This G sedan is definitely a nice car.
Interior is a bit disappointing but that touch screen thing is pretty cool. Those people who are mocking Japanese design you have no idea what you're talking about. |

I would be surprised if it was - the two cars are launch is too close to each other to really give the Infiniti designers time to let their design be 'inspired' by the F30. Having said that, I would much prefer the F30 - the Q50 is too portly/roundly round for my tastes - and whose stupid idea was it to change the name from G to Q? Like you take your best knows model in the range, and call it after the most failed model in your brand. Idiots. Following Acura. |

The grill lets it down. In a pinch i could use it as a rack to bbq food (c'mon guys it is summer down under).
Bum looks big but i could live with it. Said the same about one of my ex gf's. Overall i like it if they could fix the grill and lose its bowtie shape. The headlights will look menacing at night. When i first saw this i liked it too, but today i realised why... The headlights look similar to the E60, albeit with a smaller aperture, which IMHO is the best looking 4 door ever . So i wonder if those who dislike also dislike the E60?

I like how the cars are both distinct and convey their brand philosophy and sense of place so nicely. The Infiniti is so blatantly Japanese, and the BMW so German in its austere purposefulness. Quite frankly, beauty, for me, is in simplicity of form and purity of function. That's why I prefer the BMW. But I can see how one who is dazzled by distractions - a person with a disorganized mind - would stray the way of the Infiniti

The Grille reminds me of a mullet, the rest of the exterior of something I flush down the toilet every morning whenever I care to look, the inside of a badly stacked supermarket shelf, etc, etc. I hope I'm able to sleep tonight. I had a bad night after the Lexus thread. Now I'll have another.

The side profile silhouette looks identical. I also like that the interior center console swoop mimics the 3er so much.

Q50 not bad looking. Compared to the G37 it replaces, it is leaps and bounds better. I like how they lowered the hood profile on the q50 compared to the G37. I still like the F30 in terms of looks interior and exterior, but the q50 has some striking features in certain angles, Interior reminds me of a combo of a CTS and Sonata which are not bad interiors to steal from.
but i agree with someone else who said the infiniti (like most japanese cars) is a "right now" design. It'll look modern and fresh right now but 7+yrs down the road it'll look dated, and mixed up. whereas the f30 (like most bmws several bmws, audis, and mercs before it) won't look bad, it has a chance of looking stately and clean still (relatively)

I like I infiniti's but I've been getting bored of them, they take an Audi, BMW and Benz and Lexus and the copy it all and get this... Take it or leave it, I don't feel it stands out. The F30 IMO does
