A quickie: Can one lock the F30 Steering Wheel?

Been wanting to ask this from day one.
I cannot lock my steering wheel.
Is this normal?

That's a good question; I've not noticed mine locking at any time but then this is my first car without a key/ignition lock. I am going outside to try!

There's an electronic steering wheel lock for MT's activated when the drivers doors is opened. For AT's, the manual doesn't suggest there is. Probably because the car is in 'P', locking the wheels until the ignition is started (unlike an MT where a thief could flick it into neutral, release the handbrake and roll off!

Now I understand. This is my first auto. Love it.
Thanks.

Just tried mine. Steering wheel turns fully both directions with no locking.

Turn ignition off completely (double push on button), you'll hear a slight whirring and noise of things shutting down. Now open drivers door, listen for clicking, then try to turn wheel and it will lock.

Mine does

The existence of steering lock is market dependant.
