headlights tiny and way outside... weird looking front...

even uglier rear 3/4 view with those tailights...

full-on rear view seem somewhat acceptable, but damn those side view of the tail lights are just wrong... they tried too hard trying to be different... Fail...

the IS seem so disproportionate... i hope that those are just unofficial renders...
because not liking it... It may be a good car, great even, but look wise, Beurk !

I've owned an 01 IS300 for over 8 years and still havent lost love for it.....I was disappointed when the new body came out after mine... and now i've just lost all respect for Lexus in the design arena with these new images emerging. This has to be by far the ugliest lexus....ever. (Just my opinion). It's really a damn shame considering the reliability in their cars is second to none. I've got almost 240k miles on mine and barely ever had to spend $ on repairs. Their new design direction is just awful though. Jeeeezus!

imho it's another Japanese car design that will look old in a relatively short amount of time.. there are a few Japanese cars that have held their age well, but the latest accords, civics, etc. are all just recycling cues from one another. Same with this.. it's going to look OLD fast. Not classy or timeless.

I have been waiting for either the new IS or the 4er Coupe. Now that I've seen these photos, I guess I'm just waiting for the 4er.

The IS was a good looking car, though it hasn't aged so well. It's been long overdue for a refresh... but not this kind of refresh.

Must be a fake render. Look at the head lights in the first pic, and the drooping tail lights make no sense at all. No car on planet earth can be this ugly.

Amazing comments. IMO the current IS has aged better than E90 and still has better proportions than F30. And I think Bangle cars were great. They just looked different, they had alot more character. Current BMW's are not ugly (except F20), but are really bland. Always better than Audi, with FWD proportions, and Mercedes with messy lines.

Why would you compare the is350 to an m3 motor??

Clearly the 3.5 v6 competes with the 335i's 3.0 i6

This car will not appeal to the average Lexus Customer. It is not an IS-F so just like the 4er concept it will be watered down a lot prior to production. IF this is even the real thing.
