Heard someone mentioned about this somewhere, if I do:

SBR_FA_GWF_SBR_FA -> 00 (not active)
SBR_BF_GWF_SBR_BF -> 00 (not active)

it does kill the seatbelt gong noise but it also kills the seatbelt warning sign too. If this affects the airbag in anyway we should advise people not to touch it. Any idea?


PS. I tried:
Gwf_SBR_Warndauer -> 5 but it didn't reduce the gong to 5 seconds. Does it have a minimum number of seconds?

To make the seatbelt warning gong less annoying, try shorten the length of the warning rather than disable it completely. Do:

Gwf_SBR_Warndauer -> 05

if you put 5 in Gwf_SBR_Warndauer, it will not set the timer to 5 seconds.
These are hex values, you can find a converter online easily.

but for reference :

64 hex (actual value you enter) = 100 (seconds in this case)
19 hex = 25 seconds

thanks ilhan1103 i knew hex but surely "5" in hex is 5 in dec. So i bet there must be a lower limit. did you try 19hex and it definitely worked?

I don't speak hex fluently and I didn't check yours, sorry if that was correct
Now that you mention it, I did try 19hex, but cannot recall the results.

It can be confirmed that it doesn't have a lower limit. If you put "05" instead of "5" it will work.

And personally it is better to do it this way rather than disable the sound warning completely because I noticed that when the sound warning is disabled the red seatbelt indicator on the dash will get disabled too. Although there is no solid evidence that it is not related to the airbag or anything but until it is confirmed, I will not recommend anyone in this forum to temper these settings to achieve convenience by sacrificing safety in such a great extent.
