Apps w/ HTC Evo 3D
Hey guys. Really sorry to post this if it has been answered somewhere else, but I've looked through the forum as well as scoured google.
So I finally tried to connect my phone via USB and I'm having no luck. I have Bluetooth turned on and when I connect my phone it prompts me for the "Charge Only or Disk Drive". I have it set to Disk Drive. I am connecting it in the armrest USB location. Now I go into ConnectedDrive -> BMW Apps and it just prompts me to connect a device via USB. I have no idea what I am doing wrong and would love some assistance. I swear, this is going to drive me to (reluctantly) get an iPhone.

Well that sucks, but thanks for saving me from frustration in trying to get it to work.
So what can I do with an Android? Stream music via Bluetooth? Does the music need to be in a special folder? Album art?

Bluetooth streaming works, but I don't thnik it supports album art. Contacts and SMS also sync properly for me but getting SMS on the car is only occasionally useful.

So this is frustrating. I have my phone connected to the BMW via Bluetooth and telephone functionality works fine, but I can't stream music. The BMW isn't showing up as an available Bluetooth output device on my phone and the car displays the below. The telephone shows active, but the music note is grayed out.
I just loaded the latest code update from BMW too. Maybe my phone is more rare than I thought.... ![]()

Did you configure the bluetooth in the car for audio streaming? It's a somewhat hidden menu.
Push Telephone, then the options button and select Bluetooth configuration. there should be an option for Audio. Make sure it's checked. Since you have a '13, you *should* have the enhanced BT that comes with BMW Asisst right? You can't stream without the enhanced BT option. |

Thanks for the info. I ended up swinging by the store on my lunch break and picked up a 32GB PNY USB drive for $20. I'll prob just stick with that for now.
