Wow great mods. Wheels look great, and those coilovers are awesome. Crazy that you can adjust them using your tablet/phone.

Thank you all for your compliments!

TMC claims +50hp and +100nm torque from their website http://www.tmcmotorsport.com/TuningB...x?s=2359553659 AFE claims +52hp and +80nm torque From my butt-dyno observations, the AFE module gives a very creamy and smooth acceleration all the way from 1.5-6k+ rpm. However I don't get a torque boost kicking in at all. It feels so much like a stock car. On the other hand, the TMC module really gives the 328i a serious torque boost right from 1.5k rpm. If you ask me, the 100nm torque increase does exist and feels really good. On the down side, there seems to be some issue when accelerating between 3.2k-4k rpm where the car can (about 1% of the time) when you are stuck in a higher gear than optimal, jut forward and backward, like something is holding it back. Not sure if it's a mapping issue or the torque limiter (is there such a thing?) kicking in. I'll be getting a dyno-test for both modules done end of this week and will get some reports to share with you guys. ![]() On a separate note, my GTHAUS exhaust has been delayed for a month. Supposed to get it by this Christmas. Oh well ![]() |

Took 2 more pictures from a further distance.
As mentioned a few days back, I went for a dyno today. Dyno setup was best of 3 runs each between TMC and AFE. TMC was set at setting '6' which is default/recommended. AFE has no setting as far as I know. HP was measured at wheels and at 4th gear. Run #1 or solid coloured lines represents TMC's best run while run #2 or dotted lines represents AFE's best run. Would love to hear some expert commentary because I do not have a firm grasp on how to interpret the data. ![]() But it feels like my butt dyno is wrong because AFE's torque graph kicks in so much earlier? And if HP is measured at wheels, does that mean manufacturers of tuning products will usually assume a 25% powerloss from crank to wheels to market their products? ![]() |

The highest setting for the front coilover can be adjusted to about 1.75inches? from the tires.
The highest setting for the rear coilover leaves absolutely no fender gap, which I thought was rather weird... But it was definitely too low for roads in Singapore, so my workshop helped me add a spacer which gave the rear an additional inch in height. Hope this info helps! |
