What does this iDrive vehicle symbol mean? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I noticed a vehicle symbol on my iDrive display today when running some errands. I had just shown a friend how I can locate my car on my iPhone with the BMW Assist app, and then noticed the symbol.

I can't find it in the owner's manual, but they symbol went away after a few minutes. I tried locating my car on the app again and the symbol showed up again. I guess it just identifies that the vehicle received a remote command? It looks like a signal wave going to the car.

To the right of the car is your phone. To the left.....emitting from the car.....that's new to me.

Pretty sure you're right and this occurs when your car is executing a command through the app. Mine does the same thing.
