Another...EB 330dA MSport arrival
I'll spare you more photos - I think you know what they look like now!
I'm a week or so into ownership and very happy so far - particularly the performance/economy! What's not so great is the idrive/media. (As mine is a lease car it's basic spec, the only option i ticked was the sun protection glass.) ...it doesn't even play audio via iphone (bluetooth or usb) Am I doing something wrong? Or is the standard item really quite crap?! If you don't have nav what screen do people leave the display on? BMW have not been very creative have they! |

![]() The media for me has worked fine with android phone (pretending to be a flash drive) and also a real flash drive. Not got an iPhone so can't comment on that. As for the screen, I usually leave the journey computer on as I have it on automatic reset so I can see what's going on. Not much else to have as you say!

I bet the 330d is a beast, my 320d is quick enough!
To get your ipod to work you need to get a "Y" cable which thtough BMW is about £35 I think or I picked one up on Amazon for £6. To be honest, if you have a memory stick, use that. It should plug straight in. It is easier to use and better sound quality (digital opposed to analogue from iPod). Good luck! |

I decided to buy a 32gb memory stick (amazingly for £12..!) and just copied a load of music on to it. Works a treat, just plug it in and forget about it until you need to update it with new music.

Nice one. Just specking up my E91 330d SE replacement - will be 330d SE again. Took a demo 330d Luxury for weekend couple weeks back.
Observations over E91: - Cabin roomier feel - Cruise on steering - ok but uses to flicking the stalk so will take time to adjust - iDrive - ok but will go for basic package so probably will keep it off most of time - seems waste - Road noise seemed higher but probably due to 18" 255s/235/35 set as opposed to my 17" - Weird one this - with cruise on I like to bring my throttle peddle foot back and rest my knee against door pull handle - comfy on E91 not on F31 as the handle has a sharper edge - Got manual but auto seems super sweet - Spent age trying to get Eco Pro to deliver >50mpg (car had 4k on clock) but on A55 conwy to Manc could only manage 42 which is about what my E91 delivers - was disappointed here - not sure how they manage to get the published stats without driving at 20/56 in urban/non-urban??? Minor grumbles but net looks better car and performance overall better. |

One other thought - has anyone gone for the retractable towbar? Wondering if it can take a bike rack e.g. 4 carrier from Thule or similar? Normally they need a bolt flange rather than just the tow knob type??
