New... UK! - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Hi.

New to the forum so hello, new to BMW so hello for that too!
However I did find it frustratingly tedious having to wait so long to post a thread!! lol.

Anyway... I have enroute to me a 320d ED that was one of the GoldDust aka Olympic cars!

Its Melbourne Red with Dakota Leather, comfort pack & visibility pack among others!

I cant wait!

Other Options;
ZIC - Interior Comfort Pack
ZMP - Professional Media Pack (including nav and widescreen)
ZVI - Visibility Pack
A75 - Metallic Melbourne Red
LCSW - Dakota Leather Interior

216 - Servotronic Steering
255 - Sport Steering wheel with controls
258 - Run flats
403 - Electric Sunroof
420 - Sun Protection Glass
430 - Auto Dimming & Folding exterior mirrors
441 - Smokers package (as far as I can tell this is simply an ashtray and lighter instead of power outlet and tray?)
494 - Heated front seats
508 - Front & Rear PDC
6NF - Telephone USB Interface
6NR - Mobile app prep
654 - DAB

Annoyingly having to wait now...

If you don't mind me asking did you get a good deal on the ex-Olympic car? Especially with that spec would have cost a lot new!

I've recently picked up one of these too. Same spec except DAB instead of sun protection glass and mine's Alpine White. Loving it :-) Good deal from Lloyd BMW in Colne. Didn't know mine was an Olympic car til the V5 came through.

Yh I've got a handsome deal on finance over 5 years (including maintenance and service pack). It is one of 2000 "GoldDust" cars (The F30 320d's, E91 318d's & 520d saloons too) that were being sold off from an invite list for people associated with BMW Group (& retirees) or LOCOG. I think that invite list has extended further now to BMW dealership employees and family members.

TBH its a testament to the F30 saloon generally as I wouldnt have actually looked at getting a beemer when I looked for a new car come Jan/Feb. But once I looked into it more once I had the literature and then I realised the car is so brilliant and then one with a spec sheet like this was too good an offer to turn up...

Been told 4-6 weeks for delivery apparently though...

Cant wait - although I do need to try to sell my Astra H (2007) SXi - any takers? ;-)

Saw mine on the AUC site at BMW.co.uk - did the deal. (Inc the part-ex of my E90) over the phone as the dealer was 250 miles from my home. First drive of it was straight down the motorway :-)

Didn't the dealer offer to transport the car to you? As part of my deal the dealer brought it down on trailer and took away my old car.

No but I picked up on a day when I was in relative commutable distance and it gave them time to transfer my private plate onto it. Suited me fine.

Melbourne is outstanding. When I first got the literature I knew I HAD to have it in that colour. Other choices were white (and whilst it looks very smart and swish in m-sport trim, perhaps not so in ED...) and black...

I cant help but play with the configuration page (which is now been updated!)

Dealer rang the other day... Will be with them on the 19th and ready for me to collect on the 20th!!!

Annoying with work and their opening hours I'm not actually gunna be able to collect until the 28th... Still that's only 11 days!!

So; got an email earlier asking;

When are you thinking of collecting the car?

Uh...

I pointed out we had already discussed via email an the 28th was when I was free to which he replies that he is out of the office on that day and not back til the 29th...
I replied again within 10 minutes to get his Out of Office (dated back in the 29th!!)

Speak to the New Sales manager and ask him politely WTF is going on!!

If he doesnt give you an appropriate response drop an email to the Dealer Principle and then ring him..!!
