E92 totaled by Sandy, F30 on the way! - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Hi all,

I have been an active member of e90post for a while. I LOVED my car, was slowly getting it to where I wanted but then SuperStorm Sandy took her away from me

Best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody new, right? lol

So i just ordered an M-Sport F30. AW on Red. Premium/Tech/HK/Heated Seats/Sport Transmission/PDC. Expected delivery Dec 18th. I was lucky my friend works at BMW, he got me the last 3 series allocation for this year.

Just saying Hi and cant wait to see this platform take off.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I too lost my 2007 e90 335 in Sandy. I also lost my 1998 540 with only 46000 miles. I was told 4 6 weeks for a new delivery and rent cars were impossible to obtain. They had a shiny new AH3 on the floor that had almost everything I wanted except it was in mineral grey not the blue I always get. So far its a great car. Congrtats on your new order.

Going to guess that a car that was probably destroyed by floodwaters probably doesn't have much fresh smelling carpet to salvage.

Sorry to read about the loss of your E92, but you will be thrilled with your new 335i ! After waiting for over 3 months, I just picked-up mine yesterday. What a fabulous car it is ! So many improvements over my previous E90 and at the flick of a switch, you can change the car's personality !

You are very fortunate to be able to get a 335i so quickly.

Good decision to stick with the 18" Style 400 wheels - they look great on the car !

Same situation here. Lost my 2011 e90 and will do ED with estoril blue m sport, beige inside, walnut.

That sports suspension better be tight because the regular f30 was body rolling all over the place and my non sport e 90 shook my teeth out with 18s.

Congrats on the sandy recovery. Here in hoboken there are still generators on many buildings that don't have a new power system yet.

So my contact at BMW told me the factory is so backed up my new estimated delivery date is January 21st

If your delivery date is Jan 21st, then your car would already be on a boat and you should be able to track it online.

Havent asked for one, a good friend of mine is doing the deal for me. Ill ask him to follow up tomorrow morning. I've never ordered a car that i had to wait this long for so I dont even know how this all goes down.

Yeah you need to get the VIN. With that, you can track the car's location anywhere it is on the planet, within a couple of days.
