Performance exhaust tips

Hi chaps, had a price from my dealer to fit the double exhaust pipe on my 320d. £390.00 Inc vat. This includes the new gloss diffuser with the larger cut out. Not trimming the existing as suggested in some other posts. What do you think. Anyone else had this done in the uk?

When you say double exhaust pipe do you mean two pipes side by side or one each side of the car?.

Cheers

Yeah two pipes side by side as to look like the 330d. I'll find the part number out and let you know!

This is tantamount to stuffing a sock down your trousers!
Are you also going to stick a wannabe 330d badge on your boot?

Don't blame you for wanting this, I would!

If I can upgrade to the twin pipes, one either side like I had on the 335D, then I'd be tempted too!

In not saying I want it to look like a 330d (although after reading about realistic 330d MPG's I wish I'd ordered one, lol). I just hate the single pea shooter of an exhaust on the 320d. Anyway what wrong with stuffing a sock down???

Nothing at all. I'd do it all the time given half the chance.

Happy stuffing.

The single pipe looks a bit naff, on the E9X looked OK as it was a bit fatter.

I asked my dealer if he could fit this part but he gave me a load of BS about I needed and complete bumper!

You might want to consider this option:

http://www.salesafter.eu/product_inf...318d-320d.html

The part is €202.30, the rear 328i diffuser is about €80 (I asked them a while back) and delivery is about €25.

Comes to around €307.30 (about £250), I'm sure you could fit the diffuser yourself and the exhaust is just clamped on.

Correction. I've just emailed the dealer again and the diffuser is €60 and delivery is €30, still comes to £238 all in and they will provide instructions on how to fit the diffuser.

Haggling with the dealer on price, I'll keep you posted if I have any joy. Not holding out any hope.

Any joy on the part number?

I contacted the German dealer re the diffuser but they would only supply instructions in German so don't think that's an option for me.

Cheers
