Hope the mods will let me leave the thread in here since it gets the most hits and NOBODY visits the CA regional thread.

Track day for only $90 on a saturday. Couple of us are in and potentially a third. Anyone else from the ca area willing to go? Socal guys can all caravan.

Closer to oc?! Haha. Closest is california speedway i guess will let you know. My boss i just tell them im not coming in im going to the track. They would rather go too but vps svps are pretty much stuck to work. Gotta get it in before i get there hah

my coworkers tried to convince me to go to the one last saturday. i had had my car for like 3 days and have never done a track or autox event and thought maybe it was a bad idea ...

seemes like they had a good time though.

It is easy to talk performance by citing reviews and blogs, but most are left behind when it is no longer magazine racing.

It is unfortunate, but is the reason BMW is softening the car and making it larger.

My sense is that BMW's base products are not as "enthusiast" targetted to cast a wider net. I think also that Mx and XXXM models allow BMW to target the enthusiasts more directly. Gone are the days on the e46 forums where the people who complained about heavy steering or stiff suspension were told they bought the wrong car. I remember the days when the answer to "What's the best mod to increase horsepower and handling" was "Get driver training"

That being said, I'm not an enthusiast, but do want to take my car to the track this time...

true but so many ppl on here getting FULL suspension mods, software upgrades, and who knows what. all to be LOUD on the street lol...i think my bone stock 328i without sport suspension would go around in circles faster than some of them.

HANS LETS GO! bring that 335 out. let it breathe!!! still have two weeks just drive up and down the 405 to the 101 to the 110 to the 10 back to the 405 in circles until you have enough miles to break in your car. lol.

you also drive at your own speed - you don't just go balls to the walls and flip the car over lol.
Where do you work at ? some pretty cool coworkers.
