help with i phone 4s text meesages - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Currently using i phone 4s ios 6.1.2 and just picked up my 2013 335 sport w/ nav (no BMW apps or phone cradle) from service.. While in service they updated the nav system to latest software.

Can I set up to receive text messages in the car when they are sent to my paired phone number and how would I go about doing this.

CA did not seem to know. Thought it might require the phone cradle and apps.

Not concerned about e-mail but would like to be able to see a text message on nav screen if one has been sent to me vs. pulling phone out of pocket while driving.

It should show up under Office. You have to enable Bluetooth Office and text messages should show up.

There are several threads here that discuss how you have to setup the car and the phone to do it. The procedure is not in the manual.
