Could anyone with an f30 (even f10 would be sufficient) who has DVD playback send me the ncd file for your HU CIC?
I wish to compare some values in order to get it working on my car

It been tried many times.. impossible i have heard but you code the car to do DVD in motion its easy..
my 4yr old daughter loves it. She can watch disney movies while i drive now.

Sorry i thought you meant a copy of the DVDinMotion dvdrom to fix the video in motion.

You adjust 3 parameters on the car. Its on the cheat sheet on page one.

F10/F11 X HU_CIC 3000 HMI VIDEO_NUR_MIT_HANDBREMSE nicht_aktiv / Werte=00 aktiv / Werte=01 Video just in combination with handbrake. Use w/ above SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN and SPEEDLOCK_X_

Thanks mate but I got those. I'm just exploring and wish to compare some values, other then these. enabling in motion is not my issue

trying to figure out if its possible to enable dvd playback at all in a car who doesn't have it from factory. You'd think there is no dvd player in it, but the bmwvin.com indicates in the options that the regio code for his dvd is set.

that made me believe it could perhaps be coded.

I have found a shitton of things in the nds that COULD be used for this and could go over them one by one OR if some kind soul lends me his file I can compare.

In BMWVIN.com my car too has:
S698A AREA-CODE 2 Area-Code 2 for DVD

But I'm not aware that my car has a DVD player!

Navi updates are on a dvd, so I'm inclined to say it has to have one.

cant check it today the cars not here, but I think we can make sure with a dvd containing burned mp3s.

I found a few more, but just looking at this:

Multichannel (or maybe i mix it up with another) shows up dvd in the media button?
dvdvideo_aop its aktiv
hu_internal video playback sounds promising.

that is why i wanted someones file that has dvd working.
I guess i can check those 1 by 1.
