Changing Order - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

So I ordered my car Nov 1st and my CA emailed me to say my car entered 112/ Production Scheduled early this morning.

I have been trying to decide whether or not to add the sport auto or not. I have read just about every tread/post comparing the two auto transmissions and I am still confused on if it is worth it or not.

So could I even change the order now? Is there anyone that regrets not getting the sports auto? I don't care about the shifters, but don't want a sluggish transmission. I drove both, but I was so overwhelmed with everything I didn't notice a huge difference.

You can't make any changes now the build is locked

112 is still configurable. 150 is locked in production. Call your CA ASAP.

If your a prior manual driver you would probably appreciate the sport auto much more. It's most impressive when in manual mode.

GGGGet it or regret it. There is no adding this option later, and quite a few are mad a themselves for leaving it off. It is not much more either.

Well emailed CA to change, it might be 150 as his emailed said it was pulled in to production. We will see what he says :/

That is what I though, it was confusing b/c like others said 112 is still configurable, but you said that it had entered production this morning which would make it status 150...

Yeah, the way he worded it "it entered production at 3:30am EST" make me think 150 status. Called him but he was busy delivering an M6....guess thats more important lol.

I have Sports Auto and absolutely love it; specially when in manual mode!

Yeah...it's actually being built now. So too late to change, I'm still be happy. Plus it's a lease so I will just add it to my next 4-series

I will be even happier if it is built with the m-sport wheel like it said on the build order

. Dealer said he's seen that error before (m steering wheel on sport line).

Honestly, that would be a first. Either your dealer is confused or lying. I've never seen that reported here.

There is actually a tread on here. I posted several links to sport lines with m-sport steering wheels. Mine is listed as having it (code 710). We will see when it is delivered

I added the lighting package at the last minute, and my car went to 150 the next day. Call ASAP!

The highest production / delivery code is " 196 Shipment Arrival -- ATA"

Paper order mistakes (like you mention) pretty much never make it to the production line. BMWAG sorts it out before parts are picked. Don't hold your breath.

112 status cars can change certain options. 150 is locked.

Note, that SA builds have further restrictions at 112 status. meaning certain items that can be changed on a German build cannot be changed on SA builds. This is noticed on the DCS system in a early November notice to dealers. This could be a temporary situation but the notice says this will continue until further notice.
