M Sport Brake Vs
Whats is worth it paying $350 to upgrade current brakes of a f30 335i to the m sport brakes. The one where you need to get msport package.
Or Should I get BMW M Performance 18'' brakes Quote:
2. Would the 18" brakes be way more of a grip then the m brakes that are a upgrade in msport package? How much % better? |

The M Sport brakes and the M Performance brakes are IDENTICAL in size and all, except for that the Performance discs are slotted. Thaīs the only difference, so if u can get the M Sport brakes itīs only stupid not to take them. Unless you want red, orange or yellow calipers instead of the blue

Man, its def worth it! I wasn't gonna get it but the dealer ended up giving it to me since there were so many delays with the car etc. The brakes look sweet and everyone always tells me how nice they stand out!
$350 isn't much on a $60k plus car...i would get it again for sure! |

328i M sport brakes - front: 13.4" / rear: 13.6" = 340mm/345mm 335i M sport brakes - front: 14.6" front / rear: 13.6" rear = 370mm/345mm M performance kit (all f30) - •Front rotor size: 370mm x 30mm •Rear rotor size*: 345mm x 24mm And it goes without saying OP, that u must have 18" wheels or above to fit Im friggin jealous u even get this option. Us in the US for some asinine reason, dont get msport brakes at all

smaller 328i M Sport brake rotors are mythical. there is no such thing. You can not order M Sport brakes in USA and the 328i M Sport does not exist for Canadian buyers. In the ROW all model M Sport brakes are the same size. |

If u're talking abt the mythical US-spec M-sport brakes then yes, but if u're talking ROW/EU-spec then no. M-sport brake is the same regardless of whether it's a 316d or a 335i.

Do you think that the BMW marketeers who decide what "lines", what options, what packages and what general shizzle is available in what country ... all take a truck load of acid before their meetings?

Too much is never enough

Bigger brakes does not equal better performance. It's all about the pads. You can easily outperform M Sport/M Performance brakes with the stock setup and a good set of pads. For 99% of folks the big brakes are eye candy. The only benefit of a big kit is more capacity for heat dissipation to prevent fade.

If you're experiencing fade on the street, you're doing it wrong. ;-)

Damn right. I'd add to that; if you're getting brake fade on the street then you need locking up
