MY13.5 for F30?

Hi,

I am a newbie to BMW ownership and this forum. I have a car on order and the build will be in January 2013. The dealer says this is likely to be the MY13.5 build.

I’ve tried searching on the internet but cannot find anything. Does anyone know when we would learn about any possible updates for MY13.5?

thanks!

CK

dealers will make up anything to make you feel good about your purchase...

they will make up anything just to sell you stuff....

if you start believing them... you might as well open up your wallet too...

+1

dont think they are going to call it anything more than just MY13 but that doesnt mean that it wont be different than earlier builds. If I remember correctly the April 2012 build had some minor updates over earlier 2012 builds.

BMW never officially calls any model year a xx.5, etc. However, there are often mid-year updates. This happened a lot with the M3s, sometimes even two updates during a model year, leading to non-official designations such as 2011.5 and 2011.75.

I thought the F30 wasn't getting the updated Nav in later MY2013s as previously thought?

No one is saying the US F30s are getting the new Nav this month.

The new Navs were introduced last week (BW45) for European cars built in München, Germania. Other than this, no new updates for us in the EU.

SA built F30s for NZ and AU get the updated Nav from December production. This is probably the closest you'll get the an "MY13.5".

But we're hoping BMWNA does the right thing. Instead they will likely hold off until MY14 because they feel AG doesn't have enough new features on the list for MY14. My 2 cents...

Went to South FL Auto show this weekend. BMW had a pretty below avg. stand there. A single 328i fairly base model on display (and no power so you couldn't play with the electrics). The only cool car on the stand was a 650 frozen (something) paint and it was locked. Silly.

Audi rocked with an R8, a bunch of S models and they all had power to fiddle with gadgets. Too bad Audi typically makes me want to
