Anyone got the iphone and BMW app on it?, could you do a search for this vin please?. F191876, my car has all but disappeared from BMW UK's veiw

I just downloaded the app, ran it on my new car details from BMW connected drive, and guess where the car shows..................

Find my Car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it's outside my home

, Acording to them I have an "invisible car outside.

Sorry, would have come back to you sooner but I couldn't figure out a way to 'un-pair' my VIN so I could search for yours.

Could be the dealer has to activate something on the car as part of the PDI for the vehicle position thing to work? I only ever tried it after I got the car. If not, then you've got the first stealth F31... great for speed cameras, not so great in the car park!

lol, you have to laugh at BMW UK, they do not seem to be "up to speed", unless it's just Listers.

I have the Remote App and can't get the remote services to work at all!

Whenever I click on the find vehicle icon I get a message saying:

"Vehicle location unknown. Update vehicle status and try again."

If it told me how I would but still can't figure it out. It's the same for the unlock/lock, flash headlights etc. They all seem to time out when I send them to car

Any ideas??

You need to set up the car with BMW connected drive, fill in the form with the cars details and they contact you with user name and pass word, from there you can get access to the car on the app. If it's here that is.

That's what I thought but I have the username and password all set up but still nothing. Even deleting and re-installing the app hasn't done anything.

Nothing's ever straight forward

Thought you had to be within 0.6 miles of the car for it to show on the App? or is that something different?

I think what you might be seeing on the map is your current iPhone location not an invisible car...

John I tried the app last night also and it showed my car being outside my house to...!! Considering my Build Week is 47 two weeks in the future... I thought I would be so lucky...

I think when I last checked the whereabouts of my car, I was in the house and it was in the garage, so agree about the possibility of the 0.6 mile rule
