So, the fact that these turned out to be spy pics (which Jason had mentioned earlier in the last post of the other thread) rather than official BMW pics means that the timing vs. the concept 4 announcement for Detroit was a complete and utter coincidence.

Looks good! The black side vent is actually starting to grow on me.

I can't wait to see the rest of the nose, and tail. The coupes typically have better front/rears than the sedans.

Also, I'm glad there isn't some kind of extra kink over the rear wheel arches, as had been speculated in a few renders, a la Mercedes coupes.

A 'Sport' with 'M Sport'-wheels, unexpected combination IMO. Maybe just a temporary solution during transport.

I agree with you there. The side skirt is incredibly lame. There's no swooping lines or any shape to it what so ever.

On another note, I've been waiting for a very long time for this car. Everything else looks great. The new roof line especially. I really hope they do a 440i variant with a new power plant. Hopefully the price won't be going up too much...

The black fender vent might look better if the mirrors (for this "sport") were also black. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the Sedans, "sport" models have black mirrors, right?

It seems likely that the M4 will get a larger (or at least different) vent, perhaps located up higher and more like it is on the M5 as you describe.

why does it have a 3rd and 4th brake light?
there is the 3rd light at the top of the rear window
there is another at the same spot on the bottom of the rear window
