The guy maybe is a bit big but he's not sitting in the seat of car either. He's half hanging out of the window. That'll make anyone look big...

Have you driven any of their pillarless coupes? We had a 2004 CLK from new until last year (over 130,000 miles) and it had plenty of chassis flex and developed rattles especially around the "B pillar" area behind the doors. I'm glad my Bimmers have all had B pillars.

On the plus side, you never really drove that car like a sports car so the floppy chassis wasn't much of a problem and the visibility was tremendous.

anyone?!?
The tire size is 225/40/R19 - there is no way you can fit that on a 1er.
Really? Smaller than 1M tires

That side vent is functional, for sure.

It may look better painted, but it's not easy too tell from these pics.

So logic at Munich is comical. Here is how I imagine it playing out....

BMW marketing meeting "ok new idea. Lets take the 2 door three series and call it a 4 series? Brilliant, done!" "Oh and while we are on a role lets take the 2 door 6 series and also make it in a 4 door? Fantastic, make it so!!" "We will call it the 4 series 35 X drive IS active hybrid. It has a great ring to it!" Meeting adjourned.

BMW, why so crazy?

I was seriously hoping the 440i would bring back the S65. So you could opt for the turbo manual or the V8 manual. That would be dope.

Little thing i put together using the latest photo shown of the 4 series, Scott's sketch showing us the tail light design and this f30 3 series photographed by John Zhang. Should be enough to give you a rough idea of what this car will look like. Enjoy.

All credit given to LTBMW & 1013 Photography by John Zhang and BIMMERPOST for original spy photo.

Based off this spy photo:

And these previous sketches by BMW insider Scott26:

Render looks awesome, but I think it needs slightly more of the "fastback" shape that's in the sketch from Scott. Looks a little too like the e92 as is, from what I see. Otherwise, looks good and the guy in there still is an awesome detail haha.

Agreed. Can you make it slightly more fastback shaped like in the spy pic - like the 6 series coupe? Great job so far tho!

jesus.. the guy is stretching out the window to make sure he has enough clearance to drive off the ramp. i would look 7 feet tall doing that... This is the 4 series!

here you go, this is how i did the back using a spy photo we have seen before. thats pretty much as fast back as you're going to get. i did fix my render a tiny bit i was a tad off in the rear window and trunk but nothing too extreme.

Great job with the render and you managed to make that ugly vent trim look good.
Highest Regards!!!

that fender vent calls out for some aggressive wheels, thats probably why it looks off on the car.

That and it looks out of place on silver for some reason. It looks pretty good on alpine/arctic white though.

EDIT: Speaking of silver, did you forget to re-color the mirror cap?

After closer examing of the newer pics i see a few things

the vent does appear to be functional

it also does not look like an msport car based on the front and rear difusers, most likely a sportline model with msport wheels
