The side rear windows look longer than the previous generation. It makes the car look longer...actually, it probably is. I guess I'll just have to adjust to it. Overall, meh.

^ interesting, haven't realized this until you mentioned it. The E46s all look the same, there were more variety in E9X cars.

I think the current F30 M sport bumpers are the bee's knees!

I like the side but that bonnet/hood line running across the face is still ugly just like if the F30...

Hasn't Audi been selling the A4 in China for about 10 years now? They don't seem to have a problem with the name of that model.
not to mention ferrari models 458, 430 etc. which is in almost every driveway in china.

What do people think of the SPORT badge above the fake(?) side grill? Looks pretty tacky to me, reminds me of the late 90s mercedes with the sport badge on the door trim.

Can't see it being base price over $50k, let alone $60k.

Agree - overall the lines and proportions look nice but not sold on the badge and grill. Perhaps if the grill was more subtle like on the new 6 (better integrated directly into the sheet metal).

I remember a few months ago, someone posted comments on how ugly the body style is after looking at a test mule....

The proportions are excellent. It looks more squat and without overhanging front or rear ends. This really improves the sporty look vs the E92 or the larger F30. Personally the E92 did nothing for me except in M3 trim but the F32 overall shape is something else. The side badge is pretty lame but the side vent trim doesn't bother me.

I find the side grill worse than the badge.

Although the A4 has been selling in China for a while, the top model is not the A4. It's the A5/6 and Q5's.

I hear there are weekly Ferrari 4xx crashes every weekend in China.

Anyway, 4 is an unlucky number in Asia and people here in Hong Kong are already playing on words with the 4 series designation. Maybe the M4 will be luckier? Sounds like "not" (m) "die" (4) in Cantonese.

the rear window extends further back even with the middle of the rear wheel making it seem longer, the car is about the same in size while the appearance makes it look longer and sleeker

hang on - are we POSITIVE this is the 4er? Could the guy be normal size but this be the 2er instead? I mean, look at how short the rear overhang is compared to the E92. It actually looks about the right size for the 2er. I was expecting the 4er coupe to be larger than the E92 if it follows what the 6er did.

anyone?!?

It's the 4.
And I'm in love, not gonna lie. The overall shape is way better than I anticipated, and I don't mind the vent and badge. Don't know if I'd keep the badge on, but it doesn't really bother me too much. The slight fastback shape is a nice change to me and now I can't wait to see the final product fully. I still love the E92 shape and I always will, but this will be a good successor to it.

Love its shape ! JUst love this car ! )
little 6 series it is !
There is a choice now, for me at least
M135 vs M435/440 )
The question is - what will be the price difference with current F30 ?
if they will rise it just like they did with 6 series , sayin its all result of more "premium" and "luxurious" and other bull ***t - i give up.
But if they will keep the price on E92-90 level - i will be the first costumer in local BMW Dealer to change my brand-new F30
