I chose to buy my car with the M package instead of upgrading my headlights to the angel eyes. Anyone know where I can buy some good aftermarkets?

Currently there are no aftermarket retrofit angel eyes for F30. You'll have to wait until someone makes a set first.

Or buy some OEM versions and install. I think we calculated it would be about $5K.

What causes it to be so expensive? You can find the housings on eBay for $400-$700 each, and from my understanding you could purchase an HID kit to compensate for what is missing, which can be acquired for $200ish? I am sure some other ecu changes would need to be made but is there anything else I'm missing? I'm sure there is, I am thinking of doing it myself, so it would be good to know

You either gotta do it all OEM, or wait for some company to do a self-contained aftermarket version. You can't just piece together the housing plus some bulbs.

You need an OEM assembly for each side ($900 each), the control modules plus the LED/Xenon bulbs, that's another $1K for each side. So now you're almost at $4K before any labor cost or coding. And no one knows how to code it yet, so you'd be pretty much stuck.

Here's the parts you need. Have at it And we're expecting a thorough DIY write up if you succeed.
