Replace Bumper Whiskers?

Can one of you guys please send detailed instructions (photos preferred) on how to replace the whiskers? I ordered my Melbourned Red 335i Sport with the black M grilles but i will need to do the whiskers myself once the car gets to me so i wanted to learn how to do it myself

I just held my whiskers and yanked it off. Then pushed on new whiskers

Hahaha Ric. So they should come out and go in by using gentle pressure?

Alpine - Yea, I thought about plastidipping them but since the original black ones don't cost that much, I rather replace them

Send a message via AIM to GTM_Challenge
It's an easy pop off install. We sell them pre painted already as well so its a quick 2 min swap. Did it on our Project 335i build

additional pics/pricing of the whisker and grills:

wait so you can gloss plastidip too? i have the basic and it would be nice if i could just gloss plasti dip them instead of looking like the dull plastic material.

if you dip them they just peel right off right?

thats right. and its not exactly gloss black plastidip, its something you spray over the matte black (glossifier) to make it not "dull". look on dipyourcar.com

I have the regular base 320i without this whisker..Is this whisker plug-and-play? Meaning that if I bought the sport line whisker, it will just fit right in?

I don't think there is no difference between the lines (sport vs base) in the front bumper other than the whisker? Am I right?

that's what I wished for too but there is a thread here that said someone had to custom fit them....the part number for the front bumpers seem to be different too...which I do not understand. Also, the modern line looks like its a base front with additional whisker attached above. Maybe just the sport ones are different?

For the future, heres a link to the DIY on the whiskers so no one breaks them while removing or replacing. Also, Love plasti-dip, used it on my audi all the time for grills but I will say the ones from mod bargains are nice because I never have to respray...

Does anyone know what the section the whisker is in is called? The whole black section? I have a 320 and that lower grill (?) has no spot for whiskers, and I need to change the whole piece. Its currently all black plastic.
