Hey guys, just thought I'd say a big hello as a newly. Ordered my car last week and thought I'd post the spec to see if you think I've missed anything important off the options list. Think I'm going to regret not going for the 330d and HUD!!

Welcome! Spec is a very personal thing so go with the options you want! Seems you've gone for the best options though Pretty much the same as mine except colour.

I skipped DAB as I had an X5 for a while and the DAB reception was terrible, much worse than the Range Rover and Mercedes I've also owned. I tend to only listen to BBC stations or use my iPod so there seemed little point.

When are you expecting to get the car?

The options I was undecided about were lumber support, reversing camera and HUD!

Great Spec, very similar to mine also! Spec is a personal choice plus IMO it also depends on how long you intend on keeping the car, my last car I had for 7 years and I dont want to have any regrets with this one as I will probaby keep it just as long so in the end I went for everything I would want..however I agree about the DAB though, reading the comments on this forum looks like I/we maybe wasting our money!

DAB is a good choice, they will be switching off AM/FM in a few years, don't want to be without radio.

Congrats on a very nice choice, and you get the bigger sunroof on the F31 (not that I'm jealous)

Nice one! I was so close to going with that colour myself.

I ordered a 320d, and ended up changing it to the 330d... the sports transmission is included and some other options I ordered were cheaper, so the 5k difference dropped down to around 3k off the top of my head.

(not that I'm trying to get you thinking about that!)

That is going to be very nice. All the things I should have ordered on my car...

Some minor things I miss from my last 120d coupe are the extended storage (493) nets behind the front seats and the folding rear headrests (5DC). It might give a few extras in the back too. I haven't yet checked whether the headrests rotate or can be removed but they do block some of the view out of the rather small rear window. These are the two unchecked options from the Interior Comfort Package (ZIC). I am also missing the front parking sensors (508). My dealer recommended the DAB and whilst it offers more stations, they are not always clearer. Having the HK sound is a money well spent and the panoramic roof is simply stunning.

Lumbar support? Mobile App Prep (6NR) - depends on your phone I guess. Enjoy!!

Yeah I can't believe we have to upgrade to lumber support, I do however have an iPhone so the mobile app prep would of been nice.

Presumably the DAB on the F30 is the same as the F10.

I love it. You can actually hear stations like Talksport and 5Live(or whatever it's called) that are only otherwise available on AM and sound crap.

When I drive to Scotland, I no longer have a 20 minute radio blackout going through the hills on the way up.

Anyway, you'll see for yourself when your car comes.

Don't forget, you can still use the My BMW Remote iPhone app without needing the Mobile Application Preparation option - it gives you Google Search (with send-to-my-car), remote lock/unlock, remote headlight flash and remote heating on/off. We don't get the remote sound-the-horn in the UK (noise regs I think).

Also, I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer (if he ever returns my calls!) about a retrofit of the Mobile Apps. 3rd parties can do it and according to the BMW website, dealers can do it too but it says 'ask your local dealer'.

I have ordered this and have it in ALL my BMW's it's well worth it, reception is excellent and no longer fades.
I have it in the loaner ( E31 382i ) and it works great.

Well I've just phoned my dealer added DAB. More money but hopefully it will be worth it. It seems to really vary from car to car.
