Run-Flat Winter Tires - 18's
Looking for some winter Run-Flats (since I don't trust being in the mountains with a flat).
All I seem to be finding are these Pirelli's http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....es&tab=Reviews Winter Sottozero Serie II Run Flat Has anyone else found anything else? Am I the only one who insists on run-flats?

I always go non runflat and make sure I have a fix a flat kit, works just as well as a runflat except more work on your part... The Slime safety repair 7 minute kit is a good value, $35-$40, pumps in the slime and inflats your tire at the same time, plus you can use it to just inflate your tires when needed (plugs into electrical outlet in car, has built in tire pressure gauge).

Thanks for the tip. I've been wondering how other people stay prepared. With little kids, if I'm ever stuck, I don't want to have to wait for hours for a tow to arrive.

17's
Definitely a good idea. Get a wheel and tire set from tirerack in 17 inch. You can't go wrong. I got a set with the Bridgestone Blizzak RFTs and used them on my E90. I drove them in snow and dry weather. They were great no matter what. And you can use them without switching tires every season change.
