Thought I'd share my experiences with 328i sport line

Ordered Vehicle November 3,2012
Built: Rosselyn Germany
Delivered December 19, 2012
Picked up December 26, 2012

Dealership: Pacific BMW @ Glendale
CA: Greg Poland, can't recommend him enough. I did everything through email and he gave me a great price. Didn't even ask for security deposit when I put in the order. Easy to deal with! Please go to him if you are within an hour of LA

The car: WOW! it is quick! Since this was a lease, had some fun with my buddy. He has a s40 T5 manual 240 hp I think. The 328i actually beat him, makes me think the hp was underrated in the 328i from factory

The options: HUD is brilliant, eyes never left the road, showed hp and nav direction really well. Have to play more with enhanced usb to take full advantage. xenons are awesome look great.

THe bonus! I got the 328i sport line, but somehow someone messed up I bet and I got the M leather steering wheel on my sport line!!! Man that steering wheel is great!! So I got super luck, got sport line body kit, black exhaust tips, and m steering wheel lol

Just added 2 basic pics for now, let me know if anybody wants to see anything specific. Keep you guys updated along the way

the 328i can also beat a 274hp kia optima. the bmw just is better at putting down the power to the road.

According to most dynos the 328 makes more like 270-275hp/275-280lbs of torque at the crank.

It will also put the power down better than the Volvo(unless T5 AWD) and Optima. BMWs usually have solid gearing too which helps.

If that first pic is your interior then it looks like the regular steering wheel to me. I thought the msport had alcantra?

that is not the regular steering wheel. it is much fatter. that is m-sport.

Rosslyn, Germany? Could be an honest error. Please clarify.

Ordered November 3rd and delivered to customer in California Dec 26th? Very tight schedule for German build. For SA build this schedule would be impossible. Unless it was a car already in transport and wasn't really an "order".

G2g pacific bmw did you get deals at invoice? I went to bh bmw and i know that place is known to be ass but got a great ca there and a great deal on two cars.

You did get lucky! Wow, I wished they'd messed up my order and given me a 335i engine in my 328i. In fact I must check under the bonnet (ie the hood) as the performance of my "328i" is fantastic.

HAHA yeah that is definitely a typo. Regensburg is what i meant haha..please conspiracy theorists don't murder me lol

Yeah I was definitely surprised at the speed. Mine went straight into production. The only part that stalled with awaiting port of exit, but I got lucky on got on getting on the auriga leader, as the 1st stop it made was straight at port hueneme, pretty much 30 mins within Glendale

yeah I got really good deals at invoice pretty much. I think it has everything to do with the ca, I talked to another ca there and their deal was crap compared to my guy

Thanks! I had no idea how rare sport line with m-sport wheel was. I figured it happened quite often. Yeah I think I was lucky all around with the delivery time, as most of the boats by V&W travel to the east coast first, then to the west coast. Mine was Auriga leader which was operated by NYK line, and it's the go to ship of bringing prius to socal then to san diego, so delivery was super fast

It is due to supplys with South Africa built vehicle.

Rosselyn is not Germany and his model is a South Africa 3 Series built at Rosselyn South Africa, I seen sportline built in South Africa with M steering wheel at my dealership too.
