Haha.. true that.. I just waxed my car last weekend.. it aint no opticoat but it looks great..

Hey banana, I'm going to take my car in to get some dashboard noise fixed next week, do you think I should code the car back to original or let it just be ? any warranty issues in your opinion?

I have the cable but the software is on my wife's laptop.. she won't let me take it.. lol
If someone can get their laptop with the software I have no issues coding.

Also, I have the older files which don't have the updated FEM_BODY codes for production vehicles beyond March'12 so can't do those cars either.

Guys anyone who is a coder, if you can please bring a laptop with the software to the meet, I'll greatly appropriate it. Puri1 provided me a link to a thread about the coding and the software download (http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=696777) but after reading the first 10 pages out of 47 i'm even more confused at what is going on and what do i need to download/install and bring to the meet so one of you can help me code my car

You guys are coding...k, someone's gonna have to show me how that's done and the advantages...looking forward to Saturday!

Except I made the mistake of letting my wife drive the friggin car and she pulled into a parking spot of a very high curb and yep...you can probably figure the rest...scratches on the underside of the lower front grill...can't tell you how I felt when she showed me...less that 1K kms...

Thanks for the offer bud but I'm happy with my car the way it is. I got used to everything so not interested to code it anymore.

BTW, I probably wouldn't make it on Saturday so either way...

I wouldn't worry about it.

What noise do you have? I'm taking mine in as well next week. I get a little rattle on the passenger side, and my driver side window whistles..

Yup rattle in the passenger side, I'll link clicking metalic sound which gets very irritating.. I can't really pinpoint where it's from.

So you're not reseting your car prior to bringing it in? I was thinking of doing it.

Atleast you guys aren't getting brake squeal. I thought it would eventually go away after the break-in period, but i'm getting this annoying squeal shortly after applying the brakes right before you come to a dead stop.

Thats normal!

If you keep the brake pedal pressed ever so slightly, before coming to a complete stop its going to release a slow squeal. The guy at BMW said to apply a rather "stronger" brake.

I had this issue with my E90 but not much with my F30...
