Add Bluetooth Streaming? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

On other devices such as cell phones, I've seen an update add the ability to stream music through bluetooth. If I don't have the enhanced bluetooth package, is there something I can do to enable it or is it a hardware thing? Thanks.

It's a hardware thing; you need the combox that only comes with BMW Assist.

I think it can be retrofitted, but expensive.

Does anyone have the partnumbers/prices of the combox in order to ads Bluetooth streaming as retrofit?
I would also be interested to get the BMW Office.
Any third party vendors available?

"Or you could save the money and have it coded if you have the 6NH option on your Vehicle Order. It was coded for free for me by a kind fellow BB'er and it saved me ~1100 dollars (here in Canada Enhanced Bluetooth and USB has to be bundled with BMW assist for a total cost of 1100 I believe). I'm curious about this as well. Can you code Bluetooth Audio Streaming on a 6NH?

I have basic bluetooth and do not have navigation. I was told by Patryk that a retrofit was not possible for me. I wanted music streaming, and as an added, bonus voice dial and/or Pandora streaming.

I am so disappointed in BMW Canadians website for basically having no useful info on what option does what, when it comes to bluetooth and telephony options... And I don't think I can return my 5 day old car to get one with the options I want either. Grrrrrrr
