I think things are getting too complicated:
- 2 series - 4 series coupe kills 3 series/M3 coupe brand - 3GT/4GC/5GT, possibly 1GT too if I recall correctly? - X1, X3, X4, X5, X6, what next? - new sub-"M" models - M550i X-drive etc. Buying a BMW is no longer simple. "M" stands for marketing now IMO as so many of these models overlap eachother and create "needs".

That rendering takes liberties with the proportions of the spy photograph. The rendering is beautiful, however I doubt that the real car will look as good.

Probably not before 2015 in the States. The F80 M3, F82 M4, and F83 M4 convertible are ahead of it in line.

It should if the 6GC is any indication. That's one of the defining characteristics of the cars that fall into this market segment.

It will look better than the allready great looking 3er
![]() It will have more options and will be more exclusive than the "normal" sedan! Maybe will be close in price with the 5er, but the styling will be more arresting ![]() |

Sweet Jeevis! That's nice. Very nice. I would definitely be in the market for a baby 6GC with x-drive.

Unless this Grand Coupe has a $10k premium and ultra-loaded for eco-freindly estate cars, then I am clueless.
Forgive, but I really have to ask this, cuz I have brought it up before.. but, Who here actually wants a "sleeker" looking car? Anyone..? Sleek (to me) is not sporty.. it is more elegant & extravagant and about claiming un-needed space to say something about urself. Such as "on the town" evening, being seen..! On-the-other-hand.. (to me) Boxy = sporty. Short & tight & squat... no-nonsense styling. All business! The reason I bring this up, is that SCOTT mentions "sleek" at every opportunity, when talking about BMW coupes. Trying to make BMW's dna sleek, just doesn't work for me. Who doesn't fondle themselves when looking upon an E90 M3 or a MB 190e Cos... like the older DTM cars. So, I ask in all honesty.. who here, would rather have an upright, shorter boxy M3 (w/CF roof + 2 or 4 door for argument sake), over the sleeker M4..? (given the engine, etc was the same) Again, to me the M5 looks meaner than the fashionable M6. I am specifically speaking about "sleeker" bmws, as certain cars can maintain sleekness & mean'atude (ie: vette/Ferrari). The square boxy M looks meaner & sportier to me every time. I know I am not alone, as my friends all feel the same way.

Compared to the 3 series sedan, you've probably posted this answer before and I miss it. Question, are you stating that the 4 series GC will have shorter overhangs in the front and rear compared to the 3 series sedan? Also from the sketches you've shown it seems like the headlights will be sharper compared to the 3 series sedan and also the integration of the headlight to the kidney seem to be different too. |

235i GC would be perfect for my needs (i.e. the g'kids in the back seat without having to climb through my door, the profile of a coupe, smaller overall size)
I like BMW's path. |

haha- I was referring to the sedan that's currently available. this coupe thing should be the sedan and then the coupe should accompany it.
