Persean - I've never done the 3M tape thing. Is this hard? You just cut a strip of tape the same size and that's it? Is it fickle in that you get one chance and that's it so it better be aligned 100% from the get go?

It already has 3M tape underneath. it was really easy to put on. id recommend another person help u out and make sure it gets aligned well at both ends cause i did myself and mine was aligned perfectly on one side and the other was a little off but isn't recognizable. but I'm not good with this kind of stuff so up to you

Looks good, but from certain pics it looks "big" can someone please compare it to an e90 m spoiler, so I can get an idea of the difference? Does it have the look of a cls trunk?

This is an oddly specific question, but since it is an adhesive tape installation, would it not work well on a matte wrap exterior? As in would the taped part rip off the matte layer at high speeds?

I've order an OEM BMW M Performance F30 carbon trunk spoiler from my dealer.
I don't know how many they have , but no problem ordering one. Will let you know once it arrives (about few more days) and how it looks installed. |

did they confirm they can get it? I have no trouble ordering it, only trouble is the dealer can't get it from BMW because it's not in the warehouses yet.

well, you're in the EU. My comment was about US availability.

Anyone install their spoiler themselves? I have a OEM CF spoiler at home already waiting for my delivery and it's got the 3M strips pre-applied. I cant see why I'd pay $140/hr for the dealership to install it but I am a little worried about screwing it up.
If anyone here DIY's it I'd appreciate if you could go through your process. Also, given that it's just 2 strips of 3M tape, could a person rip it off if they were so inclined? Thanks. |
