Assuming you don't brick your car. If you change ANYTHING from manufacturer spec it can be grounds to deny a claim. It all depends on whether there's a relation between what you changed and the part that failed.

Hanging anything from the rear vision mirror (fluffy dice, mirror ball, used G-string) or adding LED light strips on the outside of the vehicle - as stated in small fonts on your contract: Section 14 - sub section 8 - paragraph 12.
