Kudos to Zaino!
I am really happy that I picked up my Imperial Blue car yesterday. It was dropped-off in Paris June 28th so it was almost two months since I last drove it.
Right before dropping-off, I applied a fourth coat of Zaino. When I washed the car yesterday afternoon I was happy to see the water beading. Since neither the VPC nor dealership waxed it (per my instructions), it must have been residual Zaino still on the paint. When you consider all that the car went through between Paris and LA, it is amazing there was still wax on it. Say what you will about other products (which I am not commenting about here at all), I was impressed that my car was still protected. Just for good measure I applied more Z-CS and a coat of Z-5 glaze just before falling asleep. Pics to follow... |

+1 for Zaino.
It is the best. So they do not apply cosmoline to ED vehicles then? Or yours was an exception due to your request?

They do not cosmoline ED vehicles ever. I have done ED on 6 cars and none came off the ship with cosmoline (I was there when 5 of the 6 were driven off the ship). They also did not have suspension blocks like non-ED cars.

Nice. I picked up my 2013 328i a couple weeks ago - my third Jet Black BMW and I am going to switch from Klasse to Zaino. In fact I ordered it directly from the site and it came in a couple of days. I got Z2 pro and Z5 pro. The Klasse Sealant Glaze is too difficult to use. I read all the tips over the years and I am just giving up. Looking forward to trying the Zaino. It sounds like you applied quickly. Is that okay as my car is a month old from paint shop.

The common belief is that there is no need to wait to wax factory applied paint as it is cured at the factory. I have always detailed my new cars immediately and never had an issue. One advantage to doing it right away is that you start with cleaner paint.
In the future I would use Zaino All in One (AIO) and Crystal Seal (z-cs) on brand new paint. Then just use the z-cs every few months to keep it looking good. |

I was a Zaino fanatic a few years back. Its one of those products that you will never appreciate until you try it for yourself.
Probably time for me to get back on the train.

Use the zaino car wash product. It is excellent In terms of glossy, zaino is meant to be layered. Each additional layer adds gloss. What you should do for your first application is wash, claybar, z-aio and then z-cs. Repeat the z-cs as often as you want. Each time you add z-cs the car will get more glossy. Note that with all zaino products it is critical to use a tiny amount. The layer should be so thin as to be almost invisible. Use too much and it won't dry right. |
