Picked up my car today.... passenger seat already broken!

As the title says, brought my car home from the dealer today....

Went out with the wife this evening and she couldn't adjust her seat. None of the buttons work. Not very reliable!

Good thing it's awesome in pretty much every other way

Seriously though, you got a free upgrade "factory set seats "

Don't worry, the taillights normally don't fall out for a week or so

Congratulations on your new car.

Perhaps the electrical connectors are not bedded properly or something similar. As for broken, I really expected to see a photo of a physically broken seat.

I'm sure that your service centre will fix the issue in a fuss free manner.
cheers

Yes, I could imagine that would be annoying on the first day of ownership. I wouldn't have concerns about the overall reliability of the vehicle just yet though. Take it back to BMW and they will sort it out.
The only issue I've had so far was a slight chip on the high gloss B-pillar cover on the driver's door. Dealer replaced it under warranty no questions asked.

It's funny because it's true, the center tail-light on the E82 did this often.

Aww man, I'd be annoyed too if I found out this happened. Sucks cos it tarnishes the whole experience but IMO I think it's how the dealer resolves the issue that will be the true experience. As long as they take care of things for you and take care of you I think the experience is still positive.

Manufacturing defects will always fall through cos no place is 100% but it's how they deal with it that shows true service.

I would be concerned though, at the rust in the seat hinges and other areas that were mentioned in the other thread though... how does that happen to a brand new car?

Well, as I suspected, the car had blown a fuse. They aren't sure why though! They replaced the fuse a sent me on my way with a few spares. Will have to book it in if it keeps happening, must have got a Friday build.
