DAB+ Radio - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

So, any current F30 owners with a DAB+ radio installed? What is the reception & quality like? Anything else you can offer would be appreciated.

I have DAB in mine and to be honest, I can't really tell the difference. In fact, I forgot about it when I picked up the car and was listening to FM.

I did notice the DAB station wasn't as loud as the same FM one, but that could be that station. Maybe you can tell the difference if you have HK and/or the volume ramped up. Reception seems ok.

Thanks bit. I suppose for the relatively small option price, there isn't terribly much to expect. I do like some of the additional choices on offer. Cheers

I have it and I have to say it's very very good compared to the standard. the clarity is great and I don't have the HK system.

I discovered yesterday that they don't re broadcast the digital signal through the east link tunnels, at least not for triple j.

Also, So far, I have found only one station which broadcasts the song title - gold 104.3.

I have DAB+ in my F30, it's great. Sound quality is fantastic and the signal has been generally better than FM, I notice that I get further out of Sydney before it drops out

It however, doesn't work in the tunnels... I guess someone will install repeaters eventually, I heard Toyota advertising that they are shipping cars now with DAB+, so I guess it's only a matter of time.
