704M. Love it. Wouldn't trade it for adaptive even if it was free. Just another thing that can break and i would never a soft setting.

I am getting M Sport passive on mine. I have plans to upgrade the suspension to a Dinan stage 2. Nothing aggressive, but good a sport/street suspension. No need to drop another $1k when I will be replacing the suspension anyways. I know that KW and others are making suspension designed to work with the Adaptive M Suspension, but in all honesty I will likely never need that flexibility. I had two prior M cars with H&R suspension and was very happy with it.
Truth be told, I wouldn't have a problem getting the active suspension, but I don't want the variable sport steering. |

Adaptative. Really impressed by this suspensions!
Feared that it would be too soft in comfort, clearly not! And perfect in sport mode (stiff but not painful) What about Variable Sport Steering? Why not like it? Did you try it? I took it because it was included with adaptative and... I like it very much! i drove a F20 and an X3 without it, and i clearly prefer the VSS now i am used to it on my F31 330d (the only thing : be careful of sidewalk at the beginning...it turns faster that others ...) Good response, whatever the situation, very easy in city, tough at high speed, no need to turn 3 times the wheel when parking... I was not convinced, I am now!! I really enjoy the pros, what are the cons? |

I drive 6 different vehicles for work, and none have variable steering. Considering that 2/3 of my driving is with vehicles that don't have it, my proficiency lies with a constant rate steering design.
Variable steering is fine for people who like it and desire it. It's an OPTION, which means that it's something you can choose if you want it. It's not something you need. |

I agree with you, it is an option, not mandatory, if you drive different cars, it can be weird to go from vss to regular. , just wanted to know if you were disappointed after using it or just not wanting it.

Besides, I will be replacing the suspension with Dinan soon enough. Don't really need to spend extra money on the active suspension, but that's just me. It sounds like BMW made a really good one, though. |
