My F30 335i
A couple of quick pics of my new 335i. If it wasn't raining I'd probably be out driving it. Absolutely love it

Thanks guys. Any excuse to drive it at this stage. Probably the only thing I miss from the e92 is the heavier hydraulic steering. Variable sports steering probably helps to address that I imagine. Otherwise, can't fault it. Auto start/stop takes a bit of getting used to I guess - I tend to turn it off whenever I start the car now.
Chris, that sounds like an awesome machine you have on order - it should be some car! Spikey, glad you like my garage. If you want to come for a spin let me know ![]() |

No, I bought my car from dealer stock. If it was an order car, I think I probably would have considered it. There's nothing really wrong with the standard steering, it just feels different after stepping out of an e9X.

if you mean the shift paddles, they come with the sport automatic transmission and are standard on the 335i. The variable sport steering is another option entirely. It should change the steering feel depending on the driving mode you're in - sharper and more precise in sport mode, looser in comfort mode. Similar concept to the adaptive suspension.

So, to clear things up a little here- you can choose the following combinations-

Sorry... just wanted to thread jack and clear up my confusion... by choosing the M Sport pack... I would end up with "Servotronic with M Sport suspension"?

LOL, yeah its a bit confusing. Sport line is pretty much cosmetic. It comes with servotronic power steering and the standard suspension The variable sports steering is an option, and so are the msport and adaptive suspensions. So, I could be wrong, but changing the mode from comfort to sport isn't doing much more than remapping the throttle (unless you have the variable and adaptive bits)

Ok, the more I read the more it sounds like servotronic steering actually does firm up in sport mode. Damned if I can tell the difference though. I still find the steering quite light in all modes. Have to try it again tomorrow and pay more attention.

Yes, standard steering with the 10mm lowered suspension.

Australia spec differs from ROTW - M sport will definitely come with M sport suspension. Sport line here comes with the standard suspension. In other regions like the US, both have the same suspension - the M sport suspension.
