In Sweden the F31 with the same engine as an F30 has an asking price just 2000 USD more and then you get the split rear seats, automatic tail gate and some other stuff for that money. Very reasonable I think.

My wife had an X1 and I can tell you now, the truck space is far more usuable than the space on the E91 was, in fact it was better in many respects to our F11.
The cubic feet figures are great if you are carrying fluids, but for real world items they tell you sod all. This was her X1... ![]() |

I had a look at the F31 the other day as the thought of 50mpg in the 320d M-Sport appeals, but the boot makes it a complete no go go for me, far too small as we have a big dog and a 4 year old who wants to take his bike etc. with him when we go out.
I'm in this... Which is the closet thing to buying a van without buying a van! I should get an L200 Mitsubishi or something really, but I just can't do it. The 5 series touring was the same, really useless boot, couldn't even get one golf set in there on a caddy without coming over the back seat, I can get three in the Merc with the load cover still working fine. My old man swapped his F11 for a 530d GT, actually much more usuable load space in the rear. These are sports tourers, great if you have a dog, or a kid, but hardly a massive family wagon. But then they are small and nimble, and my e91 handled better than the e90, probably better weight balance? Just don't buy them expecting massive load space. |

I'm from Spain. Here, 6MT is standard and you have to pay over $3.000 for the 8AT. I think I has to deal with totally different markets.
