ACTIVEHYBRID 3 debage or not!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Should I remove the model designation from the car?Does it look better?I have seen some put an m3 or m5 badge on a non m car and that is a whole different thread .Mine is an activehybrid 3 msport and wish they just lettered it something like 335ih and never touched the c pillar.

Leave it. It sets your car apart from the rest.

Garage List
2009 BMW 335i  [5.00]
I'd debadge the C pillar and leave the trunk badge.

I was thinking about just leaving the back on too.If I was Bmw I would have just called it AH3,AH5,AH7.

Leave the rear, I agree that it should just be AH3 too

BMW needs to advertise that they're well in the hybrid game. Average consumers wouldn't know what AHx meant. They need to be clear for the masses so the rest of us can pay for it with full wording badges.

Do we really need an 'i' after 328/335 anymore? Would anyone think they're still using carburetors?

I'm definitely taking the c pillar badges off...and planned on debadging the rear, however, that is still up for debate. I hate to completely remove any indication of the AH3, but I agree that the Activehybrid badging is a little long winded.

Some colors like the silver or white might hide the c pillar badge better but I got the black so it looks like a billboard. What if it was a 335 diesel and convertible like some of the old badges 335d for diesel+ I for fuel inj+C for convertible ?Would I then have a 335DIC.

Leave it. Definitely keep the rear badge, not as certain about the C pillar one

Go ahead and debadge; depending on price I may be willing to buy them from you. I can use them for better parking at the airport. The fuel efficient cars get special spots right at the terminal entrance. Would be more sensible to make them park the farthest away since they use less gas.

Debadge the whole thing. It just looks cleaner. It's a factory option too. Tons of people do it in Europe. Hell, I even see Audis around here without the rings. Only people who care about these cars will know and care about the difference anyway, regardless of whether or not it's displayed.

+1

The c pillar is a bit over the top but the rear is fine. Think about how many "uneducated" sports car drivers might be rubbing their eyes once you floor it. Hybrid=slow, right?

If I spent the extra cash to buy an ActiveHybrid3, I'd sure as hell leave the badge on.

I've only seen one on the street, and I immediately thought it was a 335 (I saw it from the back) until I got near enough to see the C pillar badge.

I thought it was pretty cool.
