Know of any discounts, allowances, rebates?
I'm trying to find all of the current incentives currently available before I place an order on a new 3. I know theres: $300 off coupon code if you request a test drive via BMW's iPhone app IF you're a current BMW FS customer (which I'm not)... then there's the $1,000 allowance if you participate in BMW's for Team USA event (which doesn't work for me either because the closest one is 800 miles away)... then there's the $500 rebate check from BMW CCA if you've been a member for the last year or more with no lapse (which I have been, yay!).
Anyone know of any others? Currently, I'm going to negotiate with the dealer for $1K over invoice. And I'm planning on doing European Delivery, as well, which BMW takes $2,940 off the MSRP for. But any other discounts, allowances, rebates or incentives that will take get BMW to take off additional? Truthfully, I'm not interested in doing the European Delivery all that much and just doing it for the big discount. If I could find some other incentive like the Team for USA event that gives me $1,500 off, I'd just bag the ED discount as that would be a better deal. Airfare to Munich will cost me $1,500 alone. With hotel, gas, airport transfers, and all that jazz, it will easily jump to $2,250 even if I just go for a few days. So I'm really only saving $700 by doing a European Delivery (because I could just put that $2,250 I'd have to spend in travel costs as a down payment and it would lower my payment the same). So if I could find some other incentive to cut $1,000 or better yet, $1,500 off the price, I'd rather hit that up and forgo the European Delivery. Any suggestions? Re ED... I know it's cool and all and a great first-class experience but (1) I have no one to go with so I'd be solo which ain't much fun, (2) I'd rather not risk damage to my car by driving it around there and then dropping it off and then all kinds of different people getting in and out of it once I drop it off and (3) would only go for a few days if I went and that wouldn't give me enough time to put 1,200 miles on it so I couldn't do the Nurburgring anyway. Plus, I suspect if I didn't do ED, I might get my car here in the States slightly sooner. I'm really on the fence with it. Since I only save $700 (after travel expenses), I'm not sure it's really worth doing ED especially since I'd be doing it solo. |

There is a loyalty rebate worth $1000 I'm pretty sure. If you've bought a car from a BMW dealer before, go back to the same one for the rebate.

Research just turned up two more:
$1,000 Option Allowance ... but I don't know what the heck this is and I can't figure out how to qualify for it. $1,000 USAA Bonus Cash ... I'm a USAA member and that seems to be the criteria, but I can't understand whether this is only for financing the car or can also be used with a lease. It says "Must finance through BMW Financial Services." |

i was planning to do ED for the big discount but ehhhhed after i learn that i can't apply any incentives on ED. I ended up order mine using $1500 USAA discount + $1000 Team USA, which is very close to ED pricing.
Good luck!

One more:
Something about $1,000 "Conquest Cash" from BMW that you qualify for if you show proof that you currently own a vehicle other than BMW. Is this still valid and can this be combined with the $1,000 Option Allowance for example? If so, that's great because that's another $2K off! |

I can't do the $1,500 USAA discount personally because that requires financing through USAA's bank. I might be able to do the $1,000 USAA one that says it requires financing through BMW FS, assuming they also permit it to be a lease. Do you know?? And for the Team USA $1,000, that one is great too but the closest Team USA event to me is an 800 mile round trip drive away! After gas and hotel, that would probably only save me $600, which isn't really worth it for the 2 days it would take. |

With the new Grad Rebate and Team USA, my US vs ED pricing was almost the same. Monthly payment was within $10 a month. ED actually costs a bit more with the travel.
With US delivery, I get a week 27 production, having it built now real time, and getting it here in early August. With ED, I would have to wait until August to pick it up, drop off, and wait till redelivery in October. Two months longer. Guess what I did? ED anyways. Because nothing beats the experience of driving the car on the roads it was built for. Not money, not extra delivery time, nothing. That's the price of driving the Nordschleife, Autobahn, Stelvio, Grossglockner, and the Dolomites. Seeing the Eagles Nest, Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, Linderhof, Wieskirche, Rothenburg, and Berg Eltz. Well worth the wait and expense. That's a super fast delivery timeline though... so if you didn't do ED your car would have been delivered to your Stateside in early August? When did you order the car? |

OK, here's all of them that I've found so far in one place:
1. BMWCCA: $500 incentive (can't be combined with USAA discount) 2. BMW Option Allowance (can't find more info on this?): $1000 incentive 3. BMW Eco Credit (on ActiveHybrid 3?): $? incentive 4. BMWNA College Grad discount: $1000 5. BMW Conquest Cash: $1000 (seems to be a discount given if you prove to BMW that you currently own a vehicle other than a BMW) 6. BMW Team USA Drive Event: $1000 incentive 7. USAA BMW Discount : $1000 (if finances through BMW FS, but does it include a lease...I don't know?) 8. BMW Loyalty Discount: $1000 (you have to be a current BMW FS customer, or have been one within the last 12 months) Since I'm going to be ordering the ActiveHybrid 3, I'm wondering if BMW is going to be offering an Eco Credit on it like they do for the diesels and the ActiveHybrid 7. BMW FS currently offers a $7,500 eco credit on the ActiveHybrid 7, in addition to a $2,500 Option Allowance! Last edited by BMWCali; 06-29-2012 at 10:27 AM. |

Yep, I'm getting $2500 incentives on my buy; recent graduate, drive for team USA, and BMW CCA
FWIW the option allowance only seems to be on 2012 models, and the same for the bmw app test drive rebate. 2012 models only. |
