Orderd! 2013 335i Msport
Hi all.
Finally. I can now add myself to the ever growing number of 2013 F30 orders. 2013 335i Msport Silver w/Coral red leather Sport auto Premium pkg. HK audio Simple yet complete. ![]() I see most Msport orders are estoril blue. Anyone else order a sliver Msport? I've researched and configured so many 328i's and 335i's that I'm beginning to know the whole options list. I'm really happy that that part is finally over. I still have my 135i to keep me entertained and happy while I wait, so it's not so bad at all. I will miss the power of the N54 in my 135i lighter coupe with a MT. But, I'm really looking forward to enjoying the beautiful new interior, and trying out the very cool and quick 8spd sport AT. I am a MT fan and nearly optioned the MT, but I kept remembering how quick and responsive the sport AT is, so I went for it. I wasn't able to get the exact interior options the way I would have liked, but I think the hex aluminum w/gloss black trim will grow on me. Also, the coral red leather is sweet and adds a touch of sportiness to the interior. I've had a LOT of compliments on the coral red interior in my 135i, and I'm sure it'll be just as sweet in the 335i Msport. As you can see I kept the options simple and limited. The surprise is that my order sheet lists the extended instrument cluster display, option 6WA! Very cool. According to all the things I read, the extended display was listed as only being available with certain options like the tech pkg, NAV, and some others. But, there it is on my order. Maybe it's included on all Msport and sport line versions, as some 2012 owners also have the extended display and no options that would include it. Don't know exactly. Thanks to all who helped and answered my questions. ![]() And so the wait begins! |

how are people ordering the m-sport packages and the 2013 F30's already? I'm in the process of ordering my Alpine White Modern Line f30, but no dealership in the area seem to have them in stock. Then I start getting on this forum and see people are already ordering '13 models. How? Any advice?

Congrats, I think the M Sport will look great with glacier silver and coral red interior.

I'm doing a Silver M-sport 335 too. Right now, I've got the black leather selected, but I've been thinking about that Red... I just don't know if I'd love it. Sometimes it looks so damn bright.... Other times it looks awesome and unique.
What to do??

I'd say find a dealership that has a car with that color leather and check it out in person.

It's not a dark red either. It looks great and I get compliments all the time on it. My concern is that my 135i is a coupe whereas the 335i is a larger sedan, and I'm wondering if that much red may be overwhelming. But, I don't think it will be. I wanted something to spruce up the interior because the trim options for the Msport are so bad. If Msport black leather had the cool red accents like the sport line, I may have gone melborne w/black-red accent leather instead. Oh, and the other concern is that the M steering wheel is stupidly only stitched with blue thread. That doesn't fit ANYTHING in my setup. An M steering wheel should have both blue and red thread stitching, period. That way it matches with different interior trim options. I'll say it again, Msport interior color and trim choices were chosen to work with estoril blue. Blue alum trim and blue stitching doesn't go with anything except estoril blue with black leather. Another dumb decision is not having black leather with blue piping. In sport line, you get black with red piping and it works beautifully with the red alum trim piece. |

rpm..just curious ??
Why did you pass on the dynamic handling pack ? I agree with you on their limited choices on the M sport. I passed on it due to the funky rear end look and the plain black seats vs. the red trimmed seats on the sportline ( AW 335i). . I also prefer the sportline wheels vs . the M wheels but still like our "stars" off the 135 better ( very Ferrari looking) if that was a choice. Don't care for the black mirrors on the sportline either BUT...again..we are forced to compromise. This is my 9th BMW product and I have never found deciding on a car this frustrating. BMW-listen up and lighten up. Last edited by emtrey; 06-17-2012 at 08:18 AM. |

The Dynamic Handling Package just doesn't seem worth it. Still on the fence about the Variable Sport Steering. Would get the M adaptive suspension if it could be a standalone option for MY13.

for MY 2012, M adaptive was $900. and VSS was $300. for MY 2013 the package is $1000. and appear not to able bought as individual stand alone options. just FYI if it changes your value perspective. You are only paying $100. for VSS if you opt for the package vs. $900. for the M adaptive alone in 2012.

The thing the adaptive does offer is the ability to set a soft ride, so that if one wants a cushy highway ride you can set that with the adaptive. Since I don't care for a cushy ride, and the sport suspension is already a bit on the soft-ish side, I don't feel the adaptive gives me anything more for the money. The variable steering does sounding interesting once I read up on it some more. It's not really "variable" in that the ratio varies depending on steering wheel angle continually. It's one ratio for about the first 120 degrees, and a different ration after that. Up to 120 degrees, of there about, the ratio is shorter than stock, meaning, the wheels move a greater angle given the steering wheel movement, this ratio is different than stock. Once past 120 degrees the ratio becomes what the stock ratio already is. For 2012 those 2 options were separate, and now they are in one pkg. You want one you take the other, unless they change it back to individual options. |

Hey RPM im with you ... i think ill eventually be putting the M Performance suspension on my car at a later time anyway, so no need to spend the extra $$$ on more complicated parts. just another thing to break down in a few yrs anyway ...
