speaking of seat leather, check your back seats for this if you have leather:
had the dealer remove seat, unstaple leather, and stretch it tight. all gone now, but still annoying. i saw two other brand new cars on the lot that had this, but several also didnt...so its a toss up |

That's really awful. In my case, all other seats seem fine. ![]() I saw 4 cars in the showroom with Coral Red Sport Seats and the leather was as stretched as Joan Rivers' face!

Had my F30 about 4 months now. Loving the car, but early on I've noticed two issues that I'm still experiencing now:

Two weeks old:
1. Rusty seat bottoms and frames. 2. Abnormal wind noise (around the upper portion of the b-pillar) 3. Brake squeak. 4. Rattle(s) in dash area. Previous E90: No issues. |

800 miles on the clock,
-squeaky brakes when stopping completely, went away by 600 miles. -some kind of weird noise, coming from engine, cant tell if its air leak, or rattle, only happens under acceleration. drives me crazy -really loud wind noise on highway going more than 70 mph. I can live with the wind noise, but I cant deal with the engine noise under acceleration

LoL. First world problems. These problems won't even qualify as real problems on consumer reports cuz there are no serious mechanical/electrical issues. I mean I had an old car that would just shut off while on the freeway going 70mph!!

wow I guessed I lucked out on mine with no problems. One thing I dont care for are the flimsy factory floor mats. And BTW I finally got that kick to open the trunk and it works every time.

1) Really poor Bluetooth mic. Quality. People tell me to call them back due to the very garbled sounds picked up by the mic
2) Driver window rolls up and sometimes comes down a few inches... 3)Moonroof shade friction when closing/opening 4)clunk noise heard when reversing 5) Squeaky brakes Other than that.... |

I picked up a teeny tiny 16GB USB stick and just keep it in the armrest console with a ton of music on it.

I'm at about 2500 miles and have had:
- 2 Limp Modes - Sport Displays were in non-US units - recoding needed and most recently - a loud squeal upon engine start that is a result of the exhaust flap actuator moving into place I need to take the car in in a few weeks to get the brakes bled and I plan to have then address the exhaust flap.

so my problems are these:
- had to fix my goodyear run flats twice(once i hit a pothole(my fault), second, had a bubble on the sidewall. - seat rail corrosion - steering wheel vibration(not too bad, not enough to really care too much if the dealership won't fix.) -Wind noise, but nothing that music and conversation with people won't zone it out. -Squeaky brakes only when it is cold. Other than those things, its all good lol ![]()

The only unresolved issue of note is poor sound insulation and high intrusive road noise. They found nothing wrong and even non Runflats (or normal tyres) have cured the problem.
It really irks me that a Hyundai i40 or Nissan pulsar sedan are quieter than my car |

Do you have wind noise as well or just the road noise? I have wind noise that becomes obtrusive over 45 mph. If I hold a glove or towel in the upper rear corner of the side window, along the b-pillar, it isolates it nicely. It is the same on the passenger side as well. My dealer is aware of it, but I suspect nothing will be able to be done to fix it, especially at this location. I don't see any gaps or anything that would lead me to believe an adjustment of any type would fix it. I believe it is just an inherent design flaw. I am going to try to get something manufactured to fit in this area that doesn't look as obvious as a towel duct taped to the window.
