It's taken the naming convention of the Audi A5 (more expensive version of the A4)
And it's ripped off the S-line package but called it the M package

Nope...love my 11 335i M Sport...hate the F30 interior. Might just have to keep my baby after the lease. The hood is a crappy look...the LCI E90 is sooooo much better. Sorry, not for me.

As I have just sold my E92 manual coupe after 5 years I was looking forward to the new Coupe (Don't care what they call it 3 or 4) BUT...this looks like the F30 with a coupe rear..BUTT ugly I just don't get that front end, nor the silly i-Pad screen which looks like an afterthought (I am assuming they will do the same to the coupe)
I have now seen plenty of the new F30 and can't say I like it, so if the coupe looks anyhting like it...will be another brand for me...big issue is Audi do not offer any manuals (And yes I will only get another manual)...not sure about Merc.

I'm worried about this too but it would be a mistake to raise the price a whole lot from the e92. Many buyers would jump ship to the less expensive Audi A5.

I also hope that lower front bumper gets some work. And if they don't want it to be seen as a 3er coupe then they need to make the headlights different.

WTF are you all complaining about?!?? Every new BMW redesigned series has been much better in every aspect than its predecessor. Whether the new coupe is a 3/4 doesn't matter at all, because I am certain that BMW will get it right and the same people that are currently complaining about not wanting to purchase the new coupe will end up purchasing it lmfao, only time will tell. Be patient guys

Luckily, current E92's won't look too outdated when this arrives, much like the current E90 LCI's. I've seen an E90 LCI side by side with the F30 and both look equally good/new.

I agree about the E9X's even though I haven't owned one. They still look modern and fresh. The coupe is a classic in my opinion and will still look good for years to come.

Imo, looks like and audi a5 a bit, with the overall shape. It seems to tall, and far to big! And if they really are going to call it a 4 series/ M4 then they really are being stupid. One, its another copy of Audi, but two, they are killing off the m3 name!! One of the most well known cars in the world!!

The coupe will definitely have different tail lights vs. the sedan. SCOTT26 even drew a picture around here, somewhere. The had a bit of a dip to them, and he described them as similar to the 5er GT tail lights.

I mean, there is still going to be an M3, it's just going to be a 4 door. So the M3/M4 will both have the boosted I-6. If the M3 fans were able to get over the M3 from going to a straight cylinder motor in the E46 to the V configuration in the E92, I'm sure they'll be able to get over death of n/a motors in the ///M's.


IMO, I'd be much more upset that BMW "rebranded" one of their best cars from the M3 (the name has tons of heritage & recognition) to the M4 simply b/c they wanted to seperate the 3s as four-doors from the 4s that will be 2-doors.
