any one tried to lower the car springs, which springs did you use?

A bunch of people already lowered their cars on H&R Sport Springs or Super Sport Springs (lower). At least one person on this forum lowered his F30 with Eibachs.

Some funny people lowered theirs on Photoshop springs.

I think KW will come out with coilovers next month some time.

Just did it today. TOTALLY worth it. I used the H&R sport springs, btw.

sorry 1st time thinking of doing it, does this affect the car in anyway, meaning side effects, wonder if the heat generated by the tyres being closer affects anything especially on highway driving?

I sent a note to Eibach USA - it will be a while before springs approved for North American market come. They have yet to receive units from Europe for test fitment. It sounded like the fella from Europe (Netherlands I think?) that tried them and posted about it was one of the testers but I could be wrong about that.

I wasn't planning to get the M Adaptive Suspension, but now that the Variable Sport Steering is only available in the "Handling Package" for MY '13, looks like I will have to get the adaptive suspension if I want the variable steering.

My concern is that I will most definitely be lowering the car, and was planning to wait until H&R releases a cup kit with springs and matched dampers. I'd hate to remove the adaptive dampers to do this- which leads to me thinking about just using the H&R springs with the OEM adaptive system. These are likely expensive parts to replace down the road, and I worry about the H&Rs accelerating the wear and tear. Worse, if there is a warranty claim for a failure of the adaptive dampers, it would be awfully easy for BMW to deny the claim and blame the H&R springs (whether or not there really is a causal relationship). Additionally, I have used aftermarket springs with OEM dampers in two previous cars; 1 worked out GREAT, but the other car I hated the "bounce" that resulted from insufficient rebound control with the increased spring rate.

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on using aftermarket springs with the adaptive suspension?

Fronts are finished...they had 3 guys working on the car at once at velocity factor.

Love it. Confidence level has increased plus she looks sooo hot right now. BMW should have released this car at this height. its not low at all it still hangs over parking bumps, zero issues in parking garage. works well with stock dampers. drop was only 0.8" and H&R said they work well with stock system.
